Okay, this really, really grew on me. there was a lot of thought and Care that went into this, and I am a fan. The vocal moments are subtle, but there. Definitely my second favorite album by her.

Congrats 🎉👏🏾 on the numbers bravo sis. But more importantly to me what's the imagery of this era. She looks like she is an extra on the set of the " Handmaid's Tale " what is the Amish blouse about.

This is really turning into one of the biggest female albums on streaming EVER! I hope she continues to promote with new singles to further its success

"yes, and?" passed 300 million streams WW on Spotify yesterday. "we can't be friends" will cross 200 million WW by EOD tomorrow.

Not gonna lie, shocked to see how it’s holding up so far post-first week. It just doesn’t feel like I’ve seen a ton of discourse or convo about it, even in her core fandom. Doesn’t feel like it’s in the zeitgeist the way any of the prior 3 albums from her were upon release. Keeping up with TUN’s streaming is literally shocking to me. But great for her obviously. That said, I do expect WCBF to become one of her biggest radio hits ever in the long run, so maybe tons of casuals are getting hooked into this album via that one?

Saturation and the nature of streaming/TikTok is really what's at play here. We've been BOMBARDED with new music during Q1, especially by women. New material (singles + albums) from SZA, Ari, Kacey Musgraves, and Beyonce. We've got Taylor on the way who will ultimately suck up every ounce of discourse for weeks, followed by Billie & Dua's albums in May. There's very little breathing room to digest these projects. J. Lo also took up a lot of the conversation online between her documentary and album drop during Q1. Tori Kelly just released. Katy, Camila & Normani may be in the mix depending on the material. I don't think I've ever seen so many high profile female releases squeezed together like this in my *redacted* time watching these charts. Absolutely bonkers!

I would expect all of this to be a ding against its post-debut streaming performance though is the thing. But yeah, that helps explain at least why maybe it doesn’t feel like it’s taking up as much zeitgeist attention.

I am trusting Ari and her team that they are playing the long game for ES, letting WCBF reach its full chart potential before releasing other singles. It’s a bit of a gamble as Scooter always preferred to front-load the hits. But ES is her masterpiece to-date, so I think it’s worth the risk.
If Abel wants to remix WCBF and make it work, they should let him. Who knows, with TTPD coming they just might need a remix to re-peak at #1. Otherwise, no biggie.
My view is that TBIM when it’s released should probably get a remix/feature. I hope they pick a good one.
“Bye” should be the summer single. And with the unexpected success of Intro, perhaps they should make it a medley single? That’s how I always listen to the two anyway.
The last single would be a bonus just throw-it-out-there kind of thing. The title track or Supernatural? Let the GP decide!

I’m so here for intro/bye getting combined for a single (release a new version for streaming/sales boost) and then big high profile feature remix for TBIM. That sounds like a perfect era that she’d be able to get her 3 smashes out of.

Following up on top40guy’s suggestion, I think for a single mix of intro + bye, for hit/radio purposes, they should start it when she starts singing in intro and then add a smooth as hell transition between the two sonically, since I think it kinda lacks that as it is. That would clock right around an even 4 mins. Call it either bye (end of the world) or (end of the world) bye. I like the former better for look and sound, but the latter is admittedly more logical for what comes first.

The title track is always in my head it seems. I wish that could get a single push too, but there’s no way we get 5 singles in the streaming era and I don’t think passing up either TBIM or Bye is particularly wise… sorry, but yes and was really a waste of a single on this album.
