10. Out of Time - The Weeknd: This is a good way to start off the Top 10, as this is my second lowest ranking song that I put at #63. I like this and it's a cool song but it's also far from one of my favorites from The Weeknd. I forgot all about this song by now, sadly.
9. As It Was - Harry Styles: I'm kinda surprised this song has the 4th lowest SD as I thought it would have been on the higher end. This is a really fun and catcy song from Harry and I do really like/love this enough to give it a #18 ranking. Sadly I did get burned out from this due to its overplay. Also bummed to see this show up over some other songs. Whoa no rankings below #56 for this song is very impressive! No Top 5 ranks for this is also surprising.
8. Message in a Bottle - Taylor Swift: LMAOOO oh dangg, not me with the very low #83 ranking and being the only one to place this in their..... Bottom 45 songs? omggg.
Ah I do feel bad about my low ranking but also got no regrets with my ranking. This is a nice song but again, it's far from one of my favorites from Taylor and I was never really crazy about it. With this reveal, I finally clear out my Bottom 50 so yay for that.
7. THATS WHAT I WANT - Lil Nas X: This song having the 3rd lowest SD is also surprising to me as I thought this would have been more polarizing. Sad to see this show up as this is my #9. I do really love this song. I think it's such a fun, catchy and entertaining song from Lil Nas X. No Bottom 40 ranks for this song is also very impressive. It's also really cool seeing this as Lil Nas X's highest ranked song on the pop rankdown.
6, Sacrifice - The Weeknd: Of the Top 6 songs, this is my lowest remaining I have as this was my #48. So yeah I am more than good and happy with this song showing up. Again, this isn't one of my very favorites from The Weeknd but I still really like it. It's cool and fun. It's interesting how the two rankers with "country" in their names are the lowest rankers for this song.
5. About Damn Time - Lizzo: Ughh I am so not here for 312999 mentioning and jinxing this song right before it shows up, ugh. :'( This is my #1 so I do absolutely love and stan this song so much. This song is so infectious and joyous. It makes me happy whenever I hear this and I can never get tired of this. Great, fun, catchy, feel good song. Glad this made it to the Top 5 even though I would have loved seeing this make it even higher. Very happy to see lots of Top 10 rankings for this one - especially lots of #6s and #9s here.
4. Bad Habit - Steve Lacy: Ooh this is my #14 and I do really love this song. A part of me wonders if I ranked this too ~low, as I feel I should have ranked this higher. This is a really cool, smooth and great song from Steve Lacy. It's one of those songs that were always stuck in my head for weeks while it was really popular, lol. Also well done to Steve Lacy on being the highest ranked male artist of this game. Again, it's interesting and funny seeing the two rankers with "country" in their names are the lowest rankers for this song too. I am shocked by that #99.
3. Happier Than Ever - Billie Eilish: Oooh wow, I did not expect this song to make it all the way to #3, but that is amazing and truly impressive! This is a great song from Billie, objectively. Although I don't really love it that much hence my #43 rank. But I do really like this. The start of it is slow and pretty but also kinda bores me. I do like it more where she rocks it out on the latter portion of the song. OMG I was wondering where that #100 would be at - shocked. But glad it's for this song and not one of the songs in the Top 2, lol. 4 #1s for this is very impressive too.
2. BREAK MY SOUL - Beyoncé: Dangg, seeing that this song made it to the Top 2, I was rooting SO hard for this song to win. I knew it wouldn't... and it was probably quite a distant #2... but at least it was in the running? I do love this song and think this is a great comeback single from the Queen! I do love this song enough to give it a #6. Now I wish I could have ranked it higher but that probably wouldn't have made any difference with how this ranked lol. But still, so glad to see this make it this high. Yay for no ranks in the Bottom 25!
1. Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God) - Kate Bush: Lmaoo dangg at all of those #1s - 15 of them!
Yeah I knew this would be the runaway winner of this game so this is hardly surprising, haha. I definitely don't love this like most of the people on this forum do. But I do still really like this enough to give it a #27 ranking. It's a cool and haunting song. Kate sounds great and the song sounds good in the 2020s as I'm sure it did in the 80s.
Thank you for hosting this game, woods! You've done a wonderful job with this game. This was a lot of fun to be apart of!
