I wonder if this will make 3 big debuts in the top 40 on Billboard country airplay tonight? We already know the Kane/Marshmello and Miranda singles should be debuting in the top 40.

Ugh, I really didn't want to support a Morgan song but this is a whole banger. Will be interesting to see how pop responds - will Post and the huge pop chorus be enough to overcome its aversion to MW? Pop is going to respond fine, Morgan is immune to any of the foolish drama and criticisms :)

#18 real-time.
Pulling away from songs behind it in points. This one is poised to debut inside the top 20 on Mediabase country.

Like MW. Like PM. Together? I’m not so sure.
“teamwork to make the dream work” is very cringe.
HELP HELP HELP, at end of chorus, also bad.
The songwriting on this makes me think this was intended for a female and male to sing to one another. Last minute, “no need for a woman, cash in with Post”
Believe this will be a quick rise and quick fall, it’s just not that great.
That being said it will likely be a #1 smash for 10 weeks.

Anyway, I agree that pop’s treatment of last night shows they’re not opposed to a Morgan pop song, and this song is an undeniable bop.

Lol, the felony charges were two weeks ago. Anyway, you brought up the controversies, I'm speculating on how pop radio will respond to this. I think it'll embrace it!

Either way, plenty of stars do worse and continue to do worse. I'm not saying I support his behavior but I can also separate the person from the art. I am glad you will be embracing it :)

That's not you separating the artist from the art. That's you defending him for using the N word and for almost killing a police officer.

Morgan has already discussed the "N Word" situation so it is time to let that go and it is not a reason to continue to condemn him any further. that is foolish to still have it be a reason for someone to not listen to him. His recent actions are questionable, and he may need some help. I've never denied that. Most people are stuck on things from the past (N word) but people can grow and learn and we can also accept and move on. as he has already done

The video is simple, but feels like a great summer vibe. I can see it really having legs through out the next several months.

This sounds like exactly the type of song country radio will eat up, and the early numbers seem to prove that. I like this more than I thought I would and I wouldn’t mind seeing it become a multi-format hit this summer.

Debut at #1 on US Spotify with 7,878,402 streams. For comparison, this is higher than Anti-Hero did on first day on US Spotify.
Also #2 on US Apple Music and #1 on US Amazon Music.

NEW RELEASES: "HELP" ARRIVES, SWIFT EXTENDS STREAK
Post Malone & Morgan Wallen easily have the week's largest song debut with "I Had Some Help" (Mercury/Republic), which moved 600k units in its first day. First-day sales and streams suggest full week totals north of 50k downloads and 70m plays.

I would not even include this in my top 15 of Morgan's song, but it's still really good, and I am excited to see what this can achieve. Also excited for the Post Malone's country project; I did not like his "debut" to country radio with HIXTAPE, but his own project should be something better like this.

This is going to be absolutely massive. It really feels equal parts like a Post Malone and a Morgan Wallen song, so this collaboration really wound up finding a perfect sweet spot for these two artists. I'm a big fan of MW's music -- despite his questionable antics -- though not much for Posty, typically, but this is just a total banger. Not really as excited about Posty's move to country music as I have been for other genre outsiders (Beyonce, Jewel, Sheryl Crow, etc.) in the past, but this is a surprisingly great start. The music video was also really well done despite being fairly simplistic. This will surely be one of the top contenders for song of the summer.

It seems that country radio is always more welcoming of males who crossover as opposed to the females that do. While I enjoy Post Malone, I do think that observation needed to be stated.

Meaning all stations added this first week. Second song to do this since Garth Brooks - Longneck Bottle. Also debut at #46 on Hot Country Songs chart this week based on one day of airplay.
