Carrie only has 2 nominations. Don't beat a dead horse, Fantasia fans still brag about her '4' noms, but really it's 3. haha But still 2 is amazing for an AI winner off her 1st album, including BNA something no one from idol but Carrie has done!

OMG. I am so happy. Imogen Heap getting nominated for Best New Artists proves to me that the grammy panel is not as stupid as I thought.
She is clearly the best in that whole group. If any one of the others wins, I am so gonna have lost faith in the panel.

I'm so happy for Little Big Town, Carrie, and the JTTW songwriters. I also love the Dixie Chicks and their album. It was a difficult road for LBT until their success so this is amazing.

Some comments: -A Nova Scotian was nominated for Song of the Year. That's pretty big! Gordie Sampson is from Cape Breton, I think, and he co-wrote the Carrie song.
-Booyah for Imogen Heap! Two nominations!
-YAY for Zero 7's album nomination for Best Electronic Album!
-WTF is that Sheryl song? Never heard of it.
-YAY to the Dixie Chicks for their three major nominations plus the one for Best vocal by duo or group in COUNTRY AND best country album!

Her album came out last October. (she also got, I think, 3 Pulse Music Award nominations, all in Triple A).
She's one half of Frou Frou, who have been on the Garden State soundtrack and she herself has been on a bunch of soundtracks in the last year. The other half of Frou Frou, Guy Sigsworth, has worked with Madonna and Britney Spears and Imogen co-wrote and I think appeared on at least one song on 'In The Zone'.
