Just curious. If you have something other than the numbers listed, post it!
I think I'm going to go Top 40 for 2007, but I'm not sure yet. I want to see if it's possible for me to get 20 MORE songs below my Top 20 before I take the challenge of a Top 40 chart.
The reason for my expansion is because songs were falling off my Top 20 before I was tired of them, and they couldn't hop back on becuase of an average of 2 or 3 new songs per-week debuting. Then it be weird hearing teh song that had fallen off because I'd think to myslef that I DO still like it, it's just that it fell off. So, I'm thinking about taking the dive coming in 07. :)

My personal chart has 50 positions. I have thought about decreasing it to 40 or 30 positions. Or increasing it to 60 for similar reasons you have mentioned. Some weeks I have a lot of tracks debut and I have to pick and choose what to drop. I did extend my chart to 62 positions for one chart a couple weeks ago because I needed to drop a lot of songs. I just added positions and kept the songs for one more chart. Then I dropped them.
But it's whatever you are comfortable with. A top 40 may be fine. It's not too much, not too little. A top 30 may still be good too.

Right now I'm at 40, but I've been thinking about increasing it to 50. I wanted to change it to 50 because a few months ago I had so many songs, but now I'm not sure if I should change it. I don't think I'd have enough songs to complete a top 50. We'll see. If I do go top 50 it will be starting at the beginning of the year.

100. I consider the Top 10 to be fairly accurate and anything below #40 is probably not quite as accurate but more of a general thing. I like the Top 100 format because it will give some songs a starting point. I will quite often find a song that I'll listen to once and forget about it until months later but with a Top 100, if I listen to it and say "this is pretty good!", I can allow it on my chart and then it won't leave my thoughts for too long. It's a way for me to give those songs a chance. I figure if you have a chart and you feel that songs are getting left off, make an unlimited N&A list. For a while in 2003 or so, even with my Top 100, I was hearing tons of new songs so I made a N&A chart that didn't have a limited number so at one point, it was 43 songs long! Right now it's difficult to fill a N&A chart below my Top 100 but I think after a year and a half, my Top 100 is finally back to normal.

My weekly chart has 30 positions. I list top 5 N&A and then list, in no order, other songs that are bubbling under. My year-end list includes all songs that made the top 30 but if I were to present a list on the site for instance, I'd make a top 100.

I have 50 and I'm finding it isn't enough since I can't debut some songs I like and I have to drop other songs that I still like.

40. The year-end chart will be 100. I'll provide pictures, though, for the top 40 on the Year-End :)

50 for the weekly. 100 or 125 for the year end...
At one time, my weekly was 75 positions - back in the late 90's when there was a lot better variety in the music available at CHR.

I have a top 20 chart 'cause 10 would not give me enough room to move songs up and dawn as needed. But I don't have a top 30, or anything more then that, 'cause if I did then I would have to keep song I did not really listen to much over the past week still on the chart for at lest another week. Also I include recurrent and known singles because some songs they just keep getting played on my CD player and some times the best songs on an album or not realest to radio. Also I am not going to do a year end chart 'cause I' have only been charting songs for 6 weeks.

My Standard chart has 40 (currents + Recurrents ) but my chart I use for my current chart only has 20. The one that has 40 isn't even tracked much lol, songs that have been sitting where they are forever so that's why I decided to make a Recurrentless Top 20 to keep things 'fresh' which has only been going on for 10 weeks.

I'm at 30, but I've gone up & down throughout my chart's 19 year history. I went from 5, to 20, to 25, to 30, to 35, to 40, to 35...and now at 30 (which is where it's been for several years now).

Many changes till now.
2005~2006 - 20 2007~ - 50 2008~ - 100 (+20 Under)
Just too many songs to chart.. Don't know which to drop sometimes :(
I only post 50 on here, though.

Top 100, it's been that way since August 2002. Before that, I had a top 40.

Started with 50, expanded to 75 in the 12th week/issue when I really discovered Christian radio and started listening to a tad more pop (though I still don't chart a lot of that). I'm still at 75, and considering expanding to 100 if I ever get the time (right now I'm verging on 2 weeks behind though, so it doesn't look like I'll be doing that for a while).

Sadly, I actually have three different charts. Two of them just started recently and are actually just for me to keep up on POP music because I've found over the last three years I'd ventured so far away from pop that I had lost touch altogether with it.
My main chart, which is mostly rock and alternative, with the occasional pop song getting in(if I really like it) is a top 100. The bottom half of the chart is mostly debuts (anywhere from 7-15 a week, depending on what I'm hearing, and because its a personal chart I will chart quite a few album tracks. It is not based solely on singles, its a chart of my favorite songs of any one time. I like this better only because when i look back on it in a years later it will feel more nostalgic to actually remember ALL the songs I liked at that time, not just the singles. With that, it makes it easier to find 100 songs. There have been times when one artist had 4 songs charting at one time. It doesnt happen often but it still feels closer to home that way.
The second chart is a POP and Hot AC combined Top 50. It is based solely on singles and is mostly used to keep me updated on what's going on in those realms. It will most likely not have a year end and if it does, it will be a Top 30-40 based on highest peak positions. The main chart has a point system so its determined that way at year end. Literally takes me 20 seconds to make my year end chart for the rock/alternative.
The third chart is more geared towards AAA. Songs that dont get as much love and dont fit into the regular or Pop chart. They are also mostly filled with singer songwriters that I normally wouldnt have even bothered to listen to but now that I have given them "the time of day", I've found quite a few I actually like in my more subdued and laid back moments. Again, with this chart, most likely no year end.

I started at 30, then I made it 35, but now it's at 40. I'm pretty content with 40.

Mine started out as a simple Top 15 chart back in October(07). Since then it has expanded to a Top 20, Top 25, Top 30, and it is currently a Top 40 chart. I'm content with a Top 40. :)

I currently have a Top 40 chart with no plans to expand it beyond that yet.
