There is one particular song that reminds me of one particular ex-girlfriend: "The One" by Foo Fighters... it's something about the lyrics which go:
"You're not the one, but you're the only one, who can make me feel like this You're not the one, but you're the only one, who can make me feel like sh%t!"
Hehehe.

For me it's, with no doubt, Broken vow by Lara Fabian! Wow! Josh Groban cover this song and Barbra Streisand said she will cover this song too in her next album!
Broken Vow lyrics (Lara Fabian and Walter Afanasieff song)
Mmmβ¦
Tell me her name I want to know The way she looks And where you go I need to see her face I need to understand Why you and I came to an end
Tell me again I want to hear Who broke my faith in all these years Who lays with you at night When I'm here all alone Remembering when I was your own
I'll let you go I'll let you fly Why do I keep on asking why I'll let you go Now that I found A way to keep somehow More than a broken vow
Tell me the words I never said Show me the tears you never shed Give me the touch That one you promised to be mine Or has it vanished for all time
I'll let you go I'll let you fly Why do I keep on asking why I'll let you go Now that I found A way to keep somehow More than a broken vow
I close my eyes And dream of you and I And then I realize There's more to life than only bitterness and lies I close my eyes
I'd give away my soul To hold you once again And never let this promise end
I'll let you go I'll let you fly Now that I know, I'm asking why I'll let you go Now that I found A way to keep somehow More than a broken vow, mmmβ¦

Caught Out There - By Kelis
So sick of your games, I'll set your truck to flames And watch it blow up, blow up, (ha-ha-ha) tell me How you gonna see it now So far from sincere (I love you) Fabrications in my ear Drive me so far up the wall I come slidin' down
What is this I see (I don't believe this) You don't come home to me When you don't come home to me I can't deal, can't bear (I won't)
You keep tellin' me lies But to your surprise Look, I hope you're happy Since you're caught out there

One more, MY ULTIMATE BREAK-UP SONG
While he was schemeing I was beamin in the Beamer just beamin Can't believe that I caught my man cheatin' So I found another way to make him pay for it all
So I went To Neiman-Marcus on a shopping spree And on the way I grabbed Soley and Mia And as the cash box rang I thought everything away

The first few came to me right off the bat, others I got from my MP3 Player, and in between, there are tracks that came randomly to me. Michelle Branch - Are You Happy Now? Michelle Branch - Til' I Get Over You. Michelle Branch - Desperately. Michelle Branch - Goodbye To You. Britney Spears - Everytime. Dido - White Flag. Aaliyah - Miss You. Skye Sweetnam - Fallen Through. Faith Hill - Cry. Justin Timberlake - Cry Me A River. Angie Stone - Wish I Didn't Miss You. Avril Lavigne - My Happy Ending. Beyonce - Me, Myself And I. Blink-182 - I Miss You. Maria - Miss You. Faith Hill - Unsaveable. Jennifer Lopez - Still. Jessica Harp - The Good Kind. LeAnn Rimes - You Made Me Find Myself. Liz Phair - Friend Of Mine. Lucy Woodward - Done. Maria - I Give, You Take. Maria Mena - Sorry. Michelle Branch - Wanting Out. (More of a "I want to break-up" song, but still...) Monica - U Should've Known Better. Natalie Imbruglia - Torn. Nickelback - How You Remind Me. No Doubt - Don't Speak. No Doubt - Sunday Morning. Sheryl Crow - My Favorite Mistake. Stacie Orrico - Stuck. Sugababes - Hole In The Head. The All-American Rejects - Swing Swing. Three Days Grace - (I Hate) Everything About You. Toby Lightman - Devils And Angels. Natalie Imbruglia - Wishing I Was There. And those are some of them. There are more, and I know there's one that almost brings me to tears every time I hear it, which is weird, because a) I'm not one to cry, and b) I've never been in a relationship, much less have broken up with someone, so that should tell you something about the song. I'll come back and post the title, if I can remember.

It's the best pop album I've gotten since Angela Via's self-titled debut!

i have a billion gazillion of these.... but the two that most standout to me, I'm sure there are WAY better... but, these like, really do the subject well..... are:
1) Brian Mcknight - One Last Cry 2) Whitney - I Will Always Love You
i'll look through my lists and compile a better one later..
