Hey Everybody by 5 Seconds of Summer sounds a good deal like Duran Duran's Hungry Like the Wolf

Chris Brown's "Back To Sleep" sounds like Miguel's "Adorn".

Just thought of a new one.
Arcade Fire - "Everything Now" Simple Minds - "Alive & Kicking"
They sound nearly identical.

Peter Gabriel - Digging In The Dirt Janet Jackson - This Time
Both choruses sound really similar. This time you've gone too far...

I'm probably the only one who thinks this, but the riff on "Life in Technicolor" by Coldplay strongly reminds me of the riff on "All Apologies" by Nirvana.

Just noticed that the choruses of Right Said Fred's "Don't Talk Just Kiss" and Enrique Iglesias "Be With You" sound alike.

I find some of the chords and especially the song intros for these two songs sound alike. Oakley's intro sounds like a moderately sped up version of Tina's.

Has anyone mentioned Halo and Already Gone before? I'm too lazy to go and check back what everyone has said before.

heard both these songs today on someones playlist and they really sound alike . i had previously thought the Chris Stapleton song sounded like a 60's r&b song and i was right. i had heard the Etta James song before but did not realize they really do sound alike when hearing them close together. Tennessee Whiskey is actually a cover from the 80's .though the original versions sound nothing like the Etta James song and are more traditional Country.

Doesn't one of Coldplay's songs sound like "Where the Streets Have No Name" by U2? I will also add in that "Breathe" by Michelle Branch is very similar to "Hanging On" by Cheyenne Kimball.

These otherwise unrelated songs from different genres and different decades have vaguely similar chorus melodies.
These, on the other hand, were #1 hits in the same year (1987) and have incredibly similar choruses.
When I was looking through the 2008 Year-End list, I was astonished how similar the latter song was to the former. It's no surprised that the latter ended up being #2 on my best list for that year, while the former topped my Best of 1987 list.
Even my dad who doesn't listen to pop music figured this one out when we heard the first song at a hockey game.

Never Forget You sounds like a cross between End Of The Road and I'll Make Love To You.

Also: "These Are the Days" by O Town and "Long Lost Friend" by Restless Heart. If you compare the 2 intros, they are very similar.

I hear a bit of Taylor Swift’s “You Belong With Me in Charlie Puth’s “Light Switch”. Just a little.

These were probably already mentioned in early posts: At least three of Milli Vanilli's songs sounded alike (Girl You Know it's True, Baby Don't Forget My Number, and All For Nothing) Two of Rick Astley's songs "Never Gonna Give You Up" and "Together Forever" sound alike (as did many of the Stock Aitken Waterman productions from the late 80s)
A few others: Paul Hardcastle's "Rain Forest" copies the beat from Afrika Bambaataa's "Planet Rock" (many of those Miami Bass and Latin Freestyle songs from the 90s also used that beat but I could go all day when it comes to sampled loops) LL Cool J's "Sitting On the Back Seat Of My Jeep" and Monica's "Don't Take It Personal" (they use the same break) The loop at the beginning of Starpoint's "Restless" sounds much like part of After the Fire's "Der Kommissar".

Thought of a few others but they may had already been mentioned earlier:
Da Brat/Tyrese - What'Cha Like and Montell Jordan - Get it On Tonite. (they probably used the same sample but both songs came out within a two-year period: 1999/2000)
The bassline in Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" sounds like the one used in Colonel Abrams' "Trapped".
The uptempo Bobby Brown songs from 1988/1989 tended to sound alike too ("Every Little Step", "Don't Be Cruel", "On Our Own").

Bro, I just realized that Taylor Swift's You Need To Calm Down sounds exactly like M.I.A.'s Paper Planes. I'm amazed she didn't get sued.

Selena Gomez's "Back to You" sounds like a rip-off of Jesse McCartney's "Better With You"

"Shallow" by Lady Gaga reminds me of the instrumental bridge of "If You're Gone" by Matchbox 20 (which starts around the three-minute mark of the song).

Vanity 6's "If A Girl Answers (Don't Hang Up)" kinda reminds me of The S.O.S. Band's "High Hopes".
