I predict #1.
This is gonna be huge. Eminem is in the song and the song is very good. I see it going far.

This song is really bad.
It'll be big on hype alone, because there is just nothing redeeming in it.

I love this song more and more as I hear it. Nothing redeeming? Are we listening to the same song!?

I love this song more and more as I hear it. Nothing redeeming? Are we listening to the same song!? I listened to it again. Total garbage in my opinion. I don't see anything in the song. Somewhat funny? No, not really, just crap. No hook, no great rhythm, very annoying. Without Eminem's name on that I don't think any radio station would've given it the time of day. Again, just my opinion though. I hope his new album has a lot better things in store than this.

Where can one get a clean version of this? Promo Only hasn't put it on any of their discs!
I think it's somewhat funny! (bi*** are you retarded), it just makes me laugh!

OMFG, the video is hysterical. I think it's going to be big. I'm not a huge fan of the song yet, but I think it'll grow on me.

This "song" is VILE! It even puts Eamon to shame.
(Times like these call for a vomit smiley!)

You know, it almost appears that Eminem has crossed that line from respectable artist to out of touch sell-out. Yeah, this doesn't sound so different from "Without Me" or "The Real Slim Shady". Do people expect him to be serious all the time now because of the success of "Lose Yourself"? A lot of his songs have pretty much been jokes and this song is another example. I wouldn't say that this is a spectacular song. It's certainly not in the league with his other humorous songs, but I don't see how this a sell-out move.

Eminem as an artist is expected to put some quality into his songs. This is a lame generic rap song that is shallow. That's what I'm saying.

But "My Name Is", "The Real Slim Shady" and "Without Me" were not 'lame, generic, shallow crap'? My Band is on the same "shallow" level as those songs, IMO. The only difference is that Eminem is not solo on it, he has D-12 backing him up.

But then people like me would be complaining because his music was too serious and all his stuff sounded like "Lose Yourself"/"Sing For The Moment." I prefer a nice balance of fun with serious.

When I first heard this, I thought it was horrible. Now, it's probably among my favorite songs. I love it! "B****, are you retarded?" cracks me up. LOL!

I prefer a nice balance of fun with serious. Agreed. It's good to hear this type of song from Eminem again. It sure won't be among my year's favorite songs...it'll get annoying, and won't stay high in my mind the way "Lose Yourself" did, but wtf it's cool to hear now. This song's not meant to be deep...I downloaded the song and just listen to it to chill and relax. I want to see the video...am expecting some funny shit there...

Now I can appreciate a lot of shallow meaningless crap when it comes to music, believe me.
But this isn't entertaining or amusing. My sense of humor hasn't been this juvenile since some point in elementary school.
If I ever get a lobotomy I might find this funny, until then, I'm pretty appalled at the horrible quality of the song and the video. I can only name one Eminem song that I ever thought was good ('Lose Yourself') but this is pure crap compared to anything he's ever done. Good thing he can put D12's name on it.

D12 My Band Producer(s): Eminem Writer(s): various Publisher(s): various Label/Catalog Number: (CD promo) Source: Billboard Magazine Originally Reviewed: April 10, 2004 A certain chemistry is needed to keep a group together. For D12, that chemistry must be linked to a good sense of humor. The sextet—Bizarre, Proof, Kon Artis, Swift, Kuniva and Eminem —examines its group dynamic on the hilarious "My Band." Serving as lead single to the act's new album, "D12 World," the track begins with Eminem's verse about how his bandmates are jealous of him. The rest of the group then trades verses about Em's preferential treatment. Kuniva and Kon Artis' lyrical barbs are some of the song's best: "You're going to be late for soundcheck/ Man, I ain't going to soundcheck/Our mics are screwed up and his always sound best/ You know what, man? I'm a say something/You got something to say?/ Man, nothing." In classic D12 fashion, the members lampoon what so many hold near and dear —only this time it's what they themselves hold dear. "My Band" is being championed by programmers at R&B, top 40 and rock radio.—RH

I can't stand the song or the video, yeah, they were trying to spoof themselves and have some fun, but now I actually like Eminem better when he's serious. The production is awful, and Eminem's singing makes me almost miss Vanilla Ice. If not for Eminem, this song wouldn't be receiving nearly as much attention, and D12 would be getting dissed left and right. Sadly this will be a hit.
