This was a really nice ballad that Mariah wrote with Walter Afansieff. It's in the same style as any typical Mariah ballad from that period with Christmas related lyrics. It had a cute video too with candid style home video recordings of Mariah.

I like this. I like the video version better than the album version though.

The song is a good one, but sometimes I find myself skipping it on the CD. It's kind of sad for some of the more happier times I like to have at Christmas time! :) :)

I like the lyrics. They remind me of Cole Porter/Tin Pan Alley lyrics.

Mariah absolutely DESTROY'S this song. I love the build up to the bridge. One of Mariah best vocal performances as well. The lyrics are so true as well. "In the springtime those memories start to fade, with the April rain.......I get by wothout you until the snow begins to fall." I never need to have someone until the winter.

I like this song, because it's one of few sad Christmas songs I've heard. Very cool because the holidays are actually a sad time for many people.

I like this. I like the video version better than the album version though. What's different about the two versions? Anyway, this is one of my least favorites on the MC album because it isn't festive, but I still like it a lot (like every song on the album). It obviously has a different tone/feel, and Mariah's vocal is great. Nice bridge. Is it the only song on the album with a bridge? I need to think about it.

Is it the only song on the album with a bridge? I need to think about it. "All I Want For Christmas Is You"?

I remember how my pre-algebra teacher would play this song over and over again during X-Mas in 7th grade. Then, while we were taking quizzes, she'd play "Joy to the World."

I like this. I like the video version better than the album version though. What's different about the two versions? I just listened to the video version again tonight (cuz I just bought the DualDisc) and it's not entirely too different. It just has more of a groove to it. When I downloaded the video years ago, it was titled "R&B Mix." When looking at discographies, I don't see any listing of the track on any cd. Unless the promo had this mix and just didn't include the mix name. I wish I had a copy of it, although I do prefer the album version. I suppose I could just make a mp3 off the dvd! Peace, Ben

I'm listening to it now.. It's heartbreaking. I love it though. It's one of my 4 favorites off her Christmas CD.

I heard this song for the first time last year on a Christmas show. The singer is not famous but she is a backup singer that travels with another act. He gave her the chance to sing this during the show and it is utterly beautiful. She did a great job on it too.

A magnificent song vocally, lyrically and in terms of production. I too love the bridge the most. The video is so cute and warm.
I love this song so much that I rank it amongst Mariah's best ever songs, regardless of it being a Christmas song.

I was bawling listening to this earlier. this song does that to me upon each listen. The lyrics were particularly poignant to me this time last year and even though I'm in a much better place this year, I still think back to those feelings last year when I hear this song now. And with regard to the bridge, it is at that point that this song is both an emotional and vocal highlight. She destroys it and it destroys me. Only Mariah.

For me this is her greatest Xmas song and is one of my top ballads from her in general. The way her voice captures the spirit of the holiday and makes you feel every word β just perfection. I know itβs super sad and all but IMO this deserves to be a classic up there with AIWFCIY.

This is such a beautiful song. The video version is my preferred version but they are both exceptional.
