I dunno whether I want Britney to perform. If she makes a mess again her career will probably be over however if its good then it will really help her image and comeback. and will be fucking amazing! Saying that, I really doubt that they will want her to perform.

Although I do like Britney and I really would like her to perform one day a damn good performance, I think if she performed it would suck the "air" out of the show and the AMAs would be all about Britney. The AMAs should not be the "Britney Show part II".
I think Pink is amazing and I would love it if she performed.
My verdict is NO on Britney and YES on Pink.
I think the list above is a tentative list and is probably subject to change. Other performers/performances may be added.

Not to mention, Pink is one HELL of a performer. She could open up with Cuz I Can and go into a U + Ur Hand break dance with a Sweet Dreams/Get The Party started ending where she does her acrobatic stunts. OMG!! SO HOT!

Why wouldent the AMA'S want Brit she would get like 3 more million people watching the awards just to see if she bombs or not again. If she did perform i dont think it will be VMA Part 2 she knows what she is doing now. she hasent been partying in about a month shes been looking so much better shes trying to get her life back in order!

its about message, feeling, and rythm imo... What something that Hilary Duff is known for? I usually let you go about your business, childishly championing these talentless morons...I think most people do. But there's a point where it stops becoming cute and naive, and more annoying. These girls, Paris and Hilary - they will never be big players, or credible artists in the music industry. SImply because THEY HAVE NO MUSICAL TALENT. Hilary will always be a the disney 'actress' whose computer helps people believe she can sing. Paris will always be the spoilt heiress whore who is famous for being in a sex tape. They will never stand shoulder to shoulder with the likes Beyonce, Justin, Pink, Christina etc. because despite any slightly impressive sales Paz or Hil may amass...people are buying a product...an image...a gimmick. Gimmicks have a shelf-life. They get boring, dull, stale. You've clearly fallen for this gimmick. In fact you seem to have a magnet that attracts you to any 'singer who can't sing', any 'musical artist with no musical talent'. It's sort of sweet, but high time to grow up. High time to stop trying to convince people who haven't fallen for the coperate bull that these morons will be anything other than jokes in a musical context. They can't deliver live, there's no creative talent, no respect or credibility. Even somebody like Britney is rooted in modern musical culture...her videos, her performances, THOSE album sales. Hilary fans try and pretend her achievements are meaningful and important, but they only are to her fans, and that's the difference. Needed to be said. shut the hell up. I do like good singers with talent. Mandy Moore has more talent than Britney and many other singers put together. Hilary sings fine, she can sing well and many artists with weak vocals (Madonna) have made it before and become legends. Hilary's 15,000,000 albums sold worldwide with only 4 albums is nothing to just brush over your shoulder. And you cants say she is only known as a "Disney Actress" when she has not been involved with Disney and promotes a new image, nobody thinks of her as Lizzie McGuire anymore, the girl is 20 years old. Needed to be said.

Wow, we really have problems listening, don't we?
Get into this ridiculous nonsense banter again, and this is getting locked. For good.

What does a writers' strike have to do with the AMA awards? The public votes on the awards.

What does a writers' strike have to do with the AMA awards? The public votes on the awards. Because writers write the "funny" jokes for the show.

Get someone that can write his or her own material and get them to do the show. Besides the jokes usually aren't that funny.
I care about the performances and the awards not lame jokes.

I agree but since they are a union, people may not pass the picket lines or write for the show. Hopefully the show will still go on!
