Justin Timberlake: I Love and Respect Cameron The "SexyBack" singer says he never wants to hear anyone talk badly about his ex Apr 09, 2007 06:00PM EDT
Although Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz broke up earlier this year after nearly four years together, the singer has nothing but kind words for his ex.
Asked about the split by British GQ, Timberlake, 26, says, "It's hard for me to talk about because we're talking about a person that I love and respect."
Timberlake, known for being mum about his personal life, makes it clear that he'd never speak badly about Diaz - and wouldn't tolerate anyone else doing it either.
"If I hear anyone say anything bad about Cameron then I'll have something to say to them," he tells the magazine in its May issue.
When it comes to the subject of his other ex, Britney Spears, Timberlake tells the magazine, "Honestly, I am so far removed from that situation."
Timberlake's best friend, Trace Ayala, seconds that, saying, "She just isn't part of his life."
As for the rumor that Timberlake sent a veiled message to Spears while accepting a Brit Award for best international male solo artist in February, the singer is mystified.
At the awards ceremony Timberlake told the crowd, "Stop drinking! You know who you are. I'm speaking to you. You are going to get sloppy," which some tabloids guessed was a reference to Spears, who entered rehab later that month.
Timberlake says he "didn't know anything" about the rumor and shakes his head in disbelief, asking, "A coded message to Britney?"

At the Beverly Hills Four Seasons, Justin Timberlake heads out after Wednesday's Shrek the Third junket. The singer-turned-actor joins the cast of the animated film as Princess Fiona's young cousin Artie. He looks kind of sad and overworked! I hope everything's ok...

^^It's amazing how people take conclusions out of one single picture taken in the middle of the streets. I wonder how *I* would look in my "street" pictures. Probably not to good.

I think "Summer Love" wont be quite as big as his previous singles, but it's Justin, so he should still do well.
Here's for the title track as the next single! (Or at least as a release at some point!) lol

Down one to #19 on the Billboard 200, but with a bullet.

Justin's in the UK right now working in the recording studio with Madonna on her next album. He's doing some writing for her and possibly some collaborations or something.

Billboard:
ARTIST: JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE
SINGLE: SUMMER LOVE
Timberlake's previous single, "What Goes Around . . . Comes Around" lived up his reputation as rhythmic-pop's main man, and "Summer Love" is no doubt destined to be fourth in line from his album "FutureSex/ LoveSounds" to ride to the crest of top 40. However, while the track offers cunning instrumentation, Timbaland's heavy production hand is so overwhelming that the singer is pushed to the back of the track, with so much vocal layering that it could be any Tom, Dick or Harry at the mic. The synthesizer hook is lustily catchy -- but who's headlining here, producer or artist? It doesn't matter. Artistic achievement or not, anything with J-Tim's name attached is solid gold, as his heroic stature inches ever upward.

Yeah, I don't see "Summer Love" performing as well as his other singles.

Summer Love is one of my favorites off the album. I don't think it can hit #1 like the previous three (WGA had the luck of Grammy promotion and the fall of Irreplaceable), but he'll probably hit top 10 and most likely top 5.

It'll be for him what "Walk Away" was for Kelly Clarkson - still huge, just not as huge as the others.

Yea, I don't see it being as big of a hit, but even if it isn't, the fact that he's sold 3 million units Soundscan-wise is a good credit. Plus, his first 3 singles did extremely well also. I think they should release Until the End of Time to R&B radio for maximum promotion this spring/summer.

Billboard:
Also on the CHR/Top 40 chart, Justin Timberlake's "Summer Love" rises 27-20 in its third chart week, giving him his 10th top 20 CHR/Top 40 hit. As part of NSYNC, he also scored another 10 top 20 hits. No other act has managed a similar feat in the nearly 15 year history of the CHR/Top 40 chart.

Decked out in black and white, Justin Timberlake gives a standout performance Tuesday at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland, the first stop on his FutureSex/LoveShow tour in the U.K.

Justin keeps adding dates to his tour. It's gotten so full already - 100 scheduled shows so far! And he'll still probably be doing Australia/Asia come fall.
