Their second best cover to date. Love it.

Love that cover. Thinking about how everything worked out, that cover and title would have been better for their first album, and Fallen better for this album.

The cover is ok, it's so basic though.

This leaked. With an entire month until the release date, that's pretty early.

I am not a huge fan of the album. :(
Swimming Home, Oceans, The Change, Erase This, and Lost In Paradise are the songs I enjoy the most. The rest kind of run together. :X

I was expecting more, a lot of the tracks sound too similar. Maybe I just need to give some more time. Lol, Steven those my my favorite tracks as well~ Swimming Home is my absolute favorite though.

I can see how it's a bit same-y; there's a lot of 'big' tracks so as a whole there's not a lot of dynamic range across the album, but DAMN do I think it's amazing! It's incredible to me how I loved EVERY SINGLE SONG from the first listen. If they can turn things around for themselves after 'What You Want' and (possibly) get a mainstream/pop hit, then I think these are good possible candidates:
The Change My Heart Is Broken Erase This End Of The Dream Oceans
Probably 'Lost In Paradise' and 'Swimming Home' as well for the ballad single, should they go for that this era.
It could be just me but I think there is a sense of progression with this album; I don't listen to anything and think that it could have come from 'Fallen' or 'The Open Door'.

Yeah, the album is lacking a bit of diversity. However, this album is definitely their most energetic. It's a pretty solid album overall.
My favorite tracks so far are Made of Stone, My Heart is Broken, Lost in Paradise, The Change & Sick.

The Change is my favourite! I've been singing it all day, but my vocals probably aren't as good as Amy Lee.... =/

Swimming Home is so good. After reading this thread and reading ya'll gushing about this song, I found it on YouTube. Just wow. It's so calming and amazing. Her vocals are pretty darn awesome.

By the looks of it they're going for 'My Heart Is Broken' as single #2, which to me is a good choice. Maaaybe a little more palatable for the pop crowd if Ev can win them over at all (which to that end would maybe be helped if it gets picked up for the Twilight: Breaking Dawn movie like the band is wanting/hoping it will). Personally though, 'Oceans' is the pop hit of the album should they choose to release it. 'Made Of Stone' is my fave from the album though - so instant for me.

Probably. It's nothing like TOD. It's also nothing really like Fallen.

Probably. It's nothing like TOD. It's also nothing really like Fallen. I hear a lot of Open Door in it. Definitely some heavier guitar though.

Coming from the stand point of being mainly a pop music fan and only a casual Evanescence fan, I could never get into The Open Door. It just seemed sloppy to me. And none of the songs was catchy enough for me. Just a bunch of guitars turned up too loud. Fallen was a good album tho. But this is definitely my favorite album from them.
I love Made of Stone, My Heart Is Broken (although I hate how The Change and it run together uninterrupted), Erase This, Lost In Paradise, Oceans, and Swimming Home.
MHIB and Oceans for pop singles please.
The only song I really don't like is The Change. I got really bored with it.

Thanks-I will have to try it out. I loved pre-Fallen Evanescence (ha ha I sound like a hipster) and Fallen Eva, but could not get into TOD. I feel like they lost the magic they had before in that cd and it just feels...dead to me. I would be very excited if they made another cd I like though. I have actually been seeing better reviews for this one as opposed to TOD so I will give it a try.

I must be the only person who liked TOD. It's one of the favourite albums of all time. I thought it was an evolution from Fallen. You can't please everybody though! This record just sounds like classic Evanescence to me. Very nostalgic to listen to haha.
