I just have been blessed with the discovery of another banch of "rarities"..."Party Animal", "I Wanna Be Your J. Lo" & some others. When I listen to them, I somehow am unable to free myself from the inevitable admiration/horror that I harbor for their lyrical grammarcide. Whatever. Just bob your head to the beat & turn off that syntax censor! "I ain't no artist/I AM AN ART BITCH!!!/I sell my paintings to the man I eat/...I am so hardcore/I sell my crap/And people ask for more!/Call me revolutionary/ I poo on a plate and get it published on visionaire/What I do is called ART-SHIT/Don't you DARE MAKE FUN OF ME/'cuz everything I do was featured on the pages of I-D!" Hooray for horrible English! The irony factor is still marvelously in check.

pitchforkmedia.com/article/news/41134/CSS_Announce_Green_Screen_Video_ContestCSS Announce Green Screen Video ContestLove makers/Death From Above listeners CSS are following in the footsteps of the Decemberists and Stephen Colbert by allowing fans to direct the video for "Alcohol" using green screen footage of the band. Users of Italian social networking/video site QOOB can access the footage here, manipulate it into a music video of their creation, and submit the video by April 15. CSS will choose the winning video, and the winning director will receive 2,000 Euros. Hopefully the result will fare more successfully than the Decemberists' attempt, which seems to have been scrapped. CSS have also added a few solo dates after their previously reported tour with Klaxons, New Young Pony Club, and the Sunshine Underground. They are on that tour now. Dates: 02-13 Oxford, England - Oxford Brookes University * 02-14 Bristol, England - Anson Rooms * 02-16 Liverpool, England - Academy * 02-17 Manchester, England - Academy 1 * 02-18 Sheffield, England - Plug * 02-20 Portsmouth, England - Pyramids * 02-21 Cambridge, England - Junction * 02-22 London, England - Hammersmith Palais * 02-25 Stoke-on-Trent, England - The Underground 04-21 Dublin, Ireland - Ambassador 04-22 London, England - Astoria 04-23 London, England - Astoria 04-24 Manchester, England - Ritz 04-25 Edinburgh, Scotland - Liquid Rooms 04-26 Glasgow, Scotland - Barrowlands 04-29 Indio, CA - Empire Polo Field (Coachella) * with Klaxons, New Young Pony Club, the Sunshine Underground

CSS to play Cancer Research benefit gig. Pipettes and Holloways also join line-upCSS have announced they will play a Cancer Research benefit gig at Shrewsbury Music Hall on June 19. The band will also be joined by The Pipettes, The Holloways and The Wombats, with all proceeds going straight to charity. The gig comes just three days before the Glastonbury Festival kicks off - CSS are hotly tipped to play the Other Stage at the event. Tickets go on sale from April 16, and can be purchased from the venue Box Office, or from Musichall.co.uk. Meanwhile, CSS continue their European tour tonight (April 10) in Amsterdam. They are set to return to London Astoria towards the end of the month {April 22,23) for two live dates. ------------------------------------------------ I love their cover of L7's "Pretend We're Dead". Basically it's the same song as in 1992, but I find the soft electronic vibe they put into it VERRRY pleasing...

They are opening for Gwen on all European Dates now.
-Let's Make Love And Listen To Death From Above I didn't get why this song was so great at first but it does get addictive, the main chorus is just alright but I LOVE the other parts the most.

They are opening for Gwen on all European Dates now. I didn't check the tour dates, but I guess that's why "Let's Make Love And Listen To Death From Above" debuts at #67 on the singles chart and the album enters at #69... Long overdue, congrats!

OMG, Donita! :o :o CSS wrap up US tour with sold-out LA showL7 frontwoman joins the Brazilians on stage CSS were joined on-stage by L7 frontwoman Donita Sparks during their sold-out show at the Henry Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles last night (June 10), wrapping up their tour of the US. Toward the end of their set, the Brazilians played a cover of L7's 1992 hit, 'Pretend We're Dead', which featured Sparks dueting with Lovefoxx. The typically energetic Brazilians worked the capacity crowd into a dance frenzy during their hour-long set, playing a few new songs as well as crowd-pleasers from their self-titled debut including 'Music Is My Hot Hot Sex' and 'Alcohol'. Clad in a sparkling rainbow body suit, Lovefoxx body-surfed and threw glitter on the crowd throughout the evening, while her bandmates blew bubbles and tossed balloons around. "I had no idea the show would be so big like this," Lovefoxx confessed to the audience, which included Fab Moretti of The Strokes and Har Mar Superstar. She later added, "LA, this is the best show we've ever played in the USA!" and the crowd erupted. CSS ended the night with a three-song encore, during which Lovefoxx sucked helium from a balloon to sing 'I Wanna Be Your J-Lo'. They wrapped up the night with an extended version of 'Let's Make Love And Listen To Death From Above'. The band are set to play several festivals this summer, including Glastonbury on June 23.

I am ashamed to say that I have just recently discovered this group.
They went on tour earlier this year with Klaxons and New Young Pony Club (the latter my other cherished recent discovery, thanks last.fm!)? Sigh, that would've been amazing. Is their next album coming out soon? Please?
I can't get enough of Music is My Hot Hot Sex & Alala right now.

Wiki said Lovefoxxx will have a solo album out but the rumour was denied in this interview. They're still touring for the re-release of the album, but they have new songs...
