I hope "All American Girl" is a SMASH song!!! That could be her mega hit from this album if it is good.

^ all american girl sounds like it will be amazing. I also am dying to hear Get out of this town- love love love that title. Sounds like a BHC type song.
I am so happy Flat on the floor is the lead track on the album- as the version katrina elam did was already great- so when carrie sings it- it will be AMAZING and a powerful, bluesy kick butt song to lead off the album. It is always good to start strong....like Wasted on SH.

Carrie has posted a new blog at the FC dispelling recent rumours about her acting like a DIVA!
She basically has counterpointed everything about that article from Jeremy Piven to being a bad tipper!
I feel a bit for her having to defend herself on every rumour but she knows how to "Nip it in the bud". Perhaps, the journalism degree kicking in!
No one believes that **** anyway!

I'm thinking the article may have ticked Carrie off a little bit. ;) I didn't believe the article because there was already proof on the TMZ video that she didn't diss any fans.

National Ledger has as much credibility as Enquirer. When they said what they did about her leaving Marquee I knew it was all a lie. We know Carrie talked to the fans and signed autographs. We all saw it. I don't even read their stuff on Google News anymore. It's a joke.

Carrie also responded to a thread over on the message board earlier today. It's pretty funny. Britney Spears and Antonio Banderas? LMAO!!

Carrie knows her stuff. She even said it was capped by TMZ! Actually, OK mag is the one reporting it but the National Ledger just wants to be the Enquirer but they end up it's little brother. National Ledger has as much credibility as Enquirer. When they said what they did about her leaving Marquee I knew it was all a lie. We know Carrie talked to the fans and signed autographs. We all saw it. I don't even read their stuff on Google News anymore. It's a joke.

I'm a big 'ol Reba fan and when I read that article, I did a big 'ol cause I knew it wasn't true. Just let Reba hear of that rumor and she'll be quick to dispell it too.

Eeeep, Carrie's pissed! If she googles herself, the article does pop up at the very top because, of course, blogs have picked it up. I saw it earlier and immediately dimissed the veracity of the contents not just because I'm a fan, but because for heaven's sake, there's evidence to the contrary. TMZ has the Marquee thing on video, for crying out loud. The Reba thing-- impossible. Carrie has praised Reba to the high heavens. She'd probably wear a WWRD (What would Reba do?) bracelet if she could. Even if, for argument's sake, Carrie was a diva and stupid, she is not stupid enough to diss a) a country legend who could ruin her career with the wag of a finger; and b) in public. Oooops, my adversarial tendencies are showing up... it's my job, it makes me a monster-- albeit, a cute one :)
A-ny-way... yeah, Carrie's pissed alright. Those CAPS are scary. It's like she read the article and had to vent. Let it all out, Woody! Or should I say Woot-y?
ETA: I actually find it quite adorable how Carrie is so up to date to the point where she even knows about the TMZ video. And then she also seemingly knows about everything talked about in the messageboard (even on CF pre-fan club). Freaky, I tell you. FREAKY! I don't think she sleeps... *cue theme from Twilight Zone*

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- hey guys- some good press today == Enterntainment Weekly seems to finally be on carrie's bandwagon lately..This issue =9-29-07, with Heroes on the cover- mentions carrie positively twice.
First- in an article about Nickleback pg. 18-- it states that Carrie's SH album is the only album keeping up with Nickleback...and then it states at the bottom of the page, titled "Other Sonic Stalwarts"- that
"carrie Underwood had no trouble winning over Some HEarts--close to 6 million of them-with her debut album- and she's sitting pretty at no.48 on the billboard album charts after 96 weeks. The idol winner's second effort Carnival Ride, is due 10-23; first single So Smallis already a top 20 hit on the country charts.
then- later- there is a section called Fall's Music Preview: 30 Hottest New Album's- and on pg.82 - there is a great photo of her, I think one we have seen before- and it says the following:
Carnival Ride- 10-23: Though the instant country superstar only co-wrote one tune on her smash debut- she helped pen 4 this time, including first single So Small. Other tracks include a remake of Randy Travis' "I told you so", Wheel of the World (which provides the album's title imagery) and Just A Dream (about a dying soldier and his fiancee).
So this is good press for Carnival Ride already- free publicity so to speak- since carrie didn't have to pay for an ad.

I love that about her! I also love that she blogged to us, to vent, on friendly turf, cuz she knew we would understand and take her side...But she hasnt made an official statement yet-- so we are the only ones that know her side. :)
