Awesome! I'm glad they kept her on even though her album barely sold anything (I still can't believe she sold so poorly; I would've sworn she had cracked at least 100k). I agree. Maybe she did earn a lot of money for the Rock Boat gig she had for like 2 years. Probably. I know she did it in 2006 and 2007, maybe 2005 too. She's doing it again in January too.

I'm definitely excited for new music from her. Her debut was awesome, and I still love hearing it.

If anyone buys that EP, can you post in here and let us know how it is? I love that it has many songs in it and is only $20 but I don't want to shell out that money if the songs aren't, you know, good.

It seems Aslyn has been dropped/left Capitol Records and is now on an indie label...

Not surprised if I'm honest. Capitol's a crappy label anyway.

Oh wow, it is being released this month? Fantastic! I hope she tours and then comes to NY. I'm dying to see her live.
The cover looks great. She looks like a completely different person with dark hair (which I prefer actually).

I hope that some of them make it. I bet this album will be a total jem. "Me & You & Daisies" is perfection and "Reaching" is beautiful as well.

So wait, when is this coming out? The Grand Garden -EP was pretty good, but I still like Lemon Love more. She needs to come out with something that will get her popular again.

The album is NOW available at Amazon.com! The digital version is $8.99, while a physical copy ($12.99) is done on a "This product is manufactured on demand using CD-R recordable media" basis, similar to a few TV DVD sets that Amazon has the rights to. Also, the album is ALSO available on iTunes for $9.99!

I went to the San Diego show at the House of Blues (Salvation Alley Stage) last night and WOW. It is always an amazing experience to see one of my favorite singers live for the first time, and Aslyn (along with Toby Lightman) put on an unforgettable show. Aslyn and Toby took turns singing songs (and telling stories) while also doing a few duets together. As for the Aslyn's setlist (from what I can remember):
"Thing Called Love" (cover?) (w/Toby) "Wherever the Dandelion Falls" "Just Enough" "What is the Difference" "This is Love" (w/Toby) "I Feel the Earth Move" (Carole King cover) (w/Toby) "Brokenhearted Day" "Trying to Drive" "Wally" "Me and You and Daisies" "Dreams" (Fleetwood Mac cover) (w/Toby)
After the show, they told the audience to come over, say "Hi" and whatnot, so I got to meet her! She is such a nice and warm person to meet, and she was so great in answering questions and even asking what songs that she didn't perform that I would've liked to have heard ("Suburbia" "Golden"!).
As we were talking, a person walked by with a copy of her "The Dandelion Sessions" album and I noticed that it had back artwork (which the copy I bought from Amazon didn't have) and I asked her if there were two versions of her album. She responded with a "Oh, I have a story to tell you" and then went on to say that she at first didn't know Amazon was selling a copy of her album ("The music's the same, but it doesn't have all the wonderful artwork and lyrics that we worked so hard to put together"), so when another fan had brought it to one of her shows to get autographed, she was surprised ("At first, I was like, was this a bootleg?"). However, she called her manager, and they found out that it was indeed a "real" copy, but alas, to get her album w/full artwork & such, it would be her site or at her shows (of which they had some). So I asked her to sign my copy of it, as well as the "Lemon Love" booklet, and thanked her so many times. Afterwards, I picked up a copy (because I love artwork & lyrics!) and got that signed as well!
But aside from that, back to the show. It was at such a small venue that I thought it worked out perfectly for them. All they needed was a electric piano (Aslyn) and a guitar (Toby Lightman) and some mics, and they were able to put on a show that I will always love and cherish. I guess waiting all these years for her to return to San Diego was really worth it and made me appreciate it much more when I finally got to see her perform live. I just hope she comes back soon.
