Well I guess that rules out "Slow Dance". I can't imagine her dancing to that song despite the title.
*pulls foot out of mouth*
"Slow Dance" should do very well on Urban and Urban AC and respectably on Rhythmic. Not sure about its prospects on other formats; mainly Pop. It's best to stick to expanding her core base, though.
Paul Hunter is a great director. I'm looking forward to the video.
She should concentrate on Urban and anything else is a bonus for now. It took them so long to get this project off the ground that there's no point in risking ruining Urban success by trying to release songs that "might" be crossovers.

Who wrote 'HURTS ME' with her?
Damn I just heard it and that has to be one of the best works she has EVER DONE It's just BEYOND me why that didnt make the final tracklist! THAT IS SINGLE MATERIAL!
Dubbed "global superstar, actress, singer, songwriter, dancer, fashion designer and entrepreneur" in a press release which only just stopped short of claiming she cured cancer.
Its written by Keri, Candice Nelson and Jim Beanz Produced by Timbaland and Hannon Lane
The track is about 2-3 years old.
Thanks! Damn that song is by far her best work IMO It's so rich lyricly and it has one of the catchiest hooks I ever heard recently. Seriously I'm like OFMG!

Her performance at the BET awards a lil while ago was a MESS. Though as a songwriter and in the studio she is incredible. I don't like how she's all tomboyish though. Its too ghetto for me personally. These are only little personal preferences though.

Keri is a verrrrrrry talented artist. Very.
You know, I was paying attention to this recently and I came to the conclusion that that's not really 'HER'
Until the moment she released her album, she had a COMPLETELY different image / approach. She was like this cute very very feminine woman until TMO blew up and she went all 'urban gangsta' lookwise
When u see her talking and on interviews she is COMPLETELY different, but when she is performing it looks like she wants to pass that 'harder' image that isnt really her. I guess since TMO worked so nicely for her, her team REALLY did want her to keep on that look/mold since it proved to be a winning formula...
I kinda miss 'Energy-era' Keri

Yeah I actually noticed that too. She's so not ghetto, I don't know why she's acting like she is. She's such a classy woman. Why is she trying to be someone she's not?
When you do that you only come up as a 2nd rate version of someone else.

I totally agree with that. The extent to which people sell out just to fit in or get a hit. When the public figures out the truth, then they quickly move to the next star.
Energy was formula pop (FOP) it was terrible and the video was even worse, she's a good looking woman, in a cute way and trying to turn her into a sweaty Ho is not going to work.

I am not a fan of Slow Dance being the next single I dont think it holds up the momentum she built with TMO and KYD ... I honestly think her best choice now would be going with Alienated. I cant see the world not loving that song plus I dont know there's something about it that makes it SO radio friendly and IMO it has a crossover appeal. Slow Dance is okay but to everyone I played they said it sounded TOO ANNOYING

Ugh Alienated or Energy would be perfect right now for a single. They are so Pop radio friendly. Well maybe a flop will bring Keri back to reality.
Though I can see Slow Dance going Top 10 on Urban. I think she is more concerned with stabilizing a Urban fan base than another Pop hit. I guess it's an alright choice.
