I got my hands on a live version of Mamacita with Daddy Yankee and all I can say is INSTA-SMASH! If he wouldve released this instead of Can I Have It Like That it would be in the Billboard Top 10 in NO TIME! It has a really catchy hook and the beat is crazy and club worthy. Hook: Mamacita oh my god I think your on fire Do you want me to get you water Cuz you make me want to be your baby father Because the dancing dude is getting hotter I better cuff you before the guys follow What you think I think you wanna (oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh)x2 She wanna break it down (break it down)x2 She wanna reggaeton (reggaeton)x2

I think you can post it. I heard this yesterday and I don't really like it. Maybe because it was live...

Perhaps finding common ground in their mutual love of red headgear, musician Pharrell Williams chats up a bemused Catherine Deneuve at the Louis Vuitton ready-to-wear runway show, which wrapped up Paris Fashion Week on Sunday (3/5).

Pharrell Williams gets the royal treatment from Prince William at Wednesday's Audi Polo Challenge Cup in Berkshire, England. The hip-hopper watched the prince hit the field in the charity match.

Yeah I just DL'ed the album and it wasn't too too bad, but far below his potential IMO.

i heard the cd and i didnt like it very much. all his singles i didnt like either. funny how Number 1 has the lyrics like "off the charts, smashing" and yet its flopping miserably. sort of like the "so amazin" syndrome lol

Has Number One charted yet? I know Pharrell is trying but it doesn't seem like radio is feeling him now. That's kind of bogus.

I'm not feelin' all the songs but I think that this album is nice. There are a lot of jams. If he had a better voice and flow some of these songs would have been a bit more solid. I like a lot "You Can Do It Too", "That Girl", "That It Off", and "Young Girl".

I think that the singles he put out didnt do the album justice. They are bad while the rest of the album is good. So yeah he made a bad choice by releasing the singles and still inluding them on the album. But this is easily one of my fave albums this year.

I just downloaded it last night and it's miles better than the tracks that were leaked earlier. I'm surprised "Mamacita" is no longer on there.
Overall, it's pretty good, I'm definitely picking it up. I was quite disappointed with Fly Or Die and this is better. He should stick to singing and not rapping though.

Williams finally has time for his solo albumPosted 7/23/2006 9:54 PM ET By Steve Jones, USA TODAY Pharrell Williams the producer is used to making big hits with big stars. Pharrell Williams the artist has more modest aspirations for his solo album, In My Mind, which arrives Tuesday after several delays. Williams splits the album between hip-hop and R&B tracks, which he says are for "the small society of people who think for themselves. It's all about individuality." The more visible half of the hitmaking Neptunes (producer Chad Hugo is his partner) describes the songs as "those explorative kind of conversations with yourself. I consider this album as just a paragraph in the book of my career." That's a pretty thick book, filled with nearly a decade of propelling platinum hits by such diverse acts as No Doubt, Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Justin Timberlake, Usher and Britney Spears. He also has taken more artistic turns with 2003's The Neptunes Presents ... Clones and two albums with their alternative rock band, N.E.R.D. The perpetually busy Williams says another N.E.R.D. album is in the works, as are new projects on their Star Trak Records label from Robin Thicke, Slim Thug, The Clipse and Snoop Dogg. In My Mind was supposed to come out late last year to take advantage of the single Can I Have It Like That, with Gwen Stefani. But Williams was so busy producing the likes of Jay-Z, Omarion, Snoop Dogg, Stefani and others that he never got to his own record. "I threw back the curtains too fast, being anxious and being artistic, and I didn't pay attention to the practical part of things," he says. "I didn't even have my album mixed." Williams, whose raspy tenor is often heard on his productions, shows a sensitive side on his R&B tracks, while his raps are more introspective. He also plays off his youthful alter ego, Skateboard P. "That's me looking back and realizing what I was into when I was a teenager," says Williams, who sponsors the nationally touring Ice Cream Skate Team. His new single, Number One, grew out of a chance meeting in the studio with Kanye West. The video shoot turned into a fly fashion summit (Williams topped Esquire's 2005 best-dressed men in the world list; West was No. 3) between the self-proclaimed Louis Vuitton Don (West) and the man Louis Vuitton tapped to design a jewelry line and appear in their fall/winter ads. Williams' Billionaire Boys Club clothing line and Ice Cream brand sneakers are sold in exclusive shops worldwide. He opened a Billionaire Boys Club boutique in Tokyo last November and plans to open another in New York in 2007. "I love what I do," he says. "I aspire to be like a Spielberg to people's careers. To provide incredible backdrops and direct artists to be the best they could ever be musically. It's the same thing for fashion. I like being Oz. I don't think it was meant for me to be Dorothy."

where did "Number 1" peak? Wikipedia says that on the US Hot 100 it peaked at #101.
that'd be a HUGE failure, considering the big budget video by Hype and the presence of Pharrell and Kanye. not to mention the lyrics "number 1, smash hit, off the charts..." lol that sucks. it really is a bad song though, IMO.
