I think part of the issue is that her commercial relevancy peaked with The Heat so the public fixation on her legacy stops at 2001 and disregards the great records she’s delivered after that.

I heard she held a listening party recently overseas. She played 8 tracks. Someone said the album is Libra-esque.

I hope she doesn't listen to those people she invited and put Heart Away on the album. She played Heart Away at the end and asked if it should be added to the album. Also, the person attended the listening party claimed the best song in the album is Long As I Live. We can all make our own judgement come 3/23 though.

I actually LIKE that she included a girl group on the album. It's her first female duet since.....Left Eye? lol

Is Drake going to magically appear on the album? She loves him and he is contractually under Bridman, so it can happen.

I have high hopes for the title track. I need a YMMH tea! Me too! From Toni's explanation of what the song is about "Sex & Cigarettes" sounds like it can be an anthem. Also if "FOH" means what I think it means, that might be one of my favorite tracks lol

FOH is produced by Dapo, the same person who produced Woman from Pulse. There goes my expectation out the window. He also produced the Colbie Caillat duet. With Def Jam and Birdman on her side why is she still working with people no one else is hiring?

‘American Idol’: Luis Fonsi, Bebe Rexha, Toni Braxton Tapped to Duet With Finalists (EXCLUSIVE)As the return of “American Idol” nears, the show is busy enlisting seasoned performers to duet with the finalists who make the Top 24 cut. The artists who have signed on to share the stage with hopefuls include Latin star Luis Fonsi, whose “Despacito” was 2017’s inescapable hit; buzzing newcomer Bebe Rexha (pictured above), currently climbing the charts with her own duet, “Meant to Be,” featuring Florida Georgia Line; Country star Cam; R&B singer Toni Braxton, whose “Unbreak My Heart” spent 11 weeks atop the Billboard 100 in 1996 and is about to release a new album on Def Jam, her first in almost a decade; and Train frontman Pat Monahan, who appears in the Broadway show “Rocktopia” starting March 20. In addition, “Honey I’m Good” singer Andy Grammer, “Glee” star Lea Michele, and soul upstart Allen Stone are tapped to appear. More music pairings are still coming together bringing the total participants to 12. Each artist will sing with two contestants, Variety hears. ABC did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Radio personality Bobby Bones, who moonlights as a Nashville-based singer, is already into his role as a mentor to the “Idol” Top 24. Future finalists and winners of ABC’s “American Idol” reboot will release music through Hollywood Records marking the first time the Disney label has been affiliated with the show, which ran for 15 seasons on Fox. ABC’s “American Idol” will air on Sundays and Monday, kicking off with a two-hour premiere on March 11 at 8 p.m. variety.com/2018/music/news/american-idol-duets-luis-fonsi-bebe-rexha-toni-braxton-1202709965/

I swear to the goddess, god, and goden, she better not postpone. I don't think an album has been released on time since The Heat.

Why would drake work with her? He's got nothing to gain. A collaboration with En Vogue makes more sense; both acts are of the same status.

If you would stop trolling and ACTUALLY pay attention you would realize that i mentioned Drake because of his affiliation with Birdman, otherwise i know Toni wouldn't stand a chance. And speaking of has-beens Mariah is also one, hasn't aged well too and lost her voice so you should be the last one to talk. #HaveSeveral And LMAO@ you equating En Vouge's status with Toni.

This can get real ugly...Toni had one of the top selling R&B albums of 2014 and won a Grammy. And her fan base reaches far more than the "Urban Community"...

SMH Just mad that Toni's last album outsold Mariah's last 2 albums and she won a Grammy....Let's not mention Toni can still actually sing LIVE.

Toni is an icon, not a legend (lol), and that's restricted within the urban genre. Period. Also, currently she's pretty much irrelevant, and has been irrelevant for close to two decades, hence a has been.
