I wonder if the new song is 'WOMAN' or another song? Because there's 15 tracks...They have 12 singles. So where does the third unnamed track come from?

Reformed UK girl band the Spice Girls are set to release their first NEW single in seven years. Group members, Geri Halliwell on GMTV and Melanie C on Radio One confirmed today that the new single is titled "Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)" and described it as a "big love song". The Spice Girls will release a "Greatest Hits" album, which will include two new songs, on November 12th and the single a week later. Finally, as you know they're going to start the comeback worldtour on December 2nd in Vancouver!

They should've gone with an uptempo one. Make their comeback with a big, energetic bang! Oh well... Hopefully it's good and not cheesy.

They better make it good - at least 2006 All Saints level good, if not Girls Aloud good. People's standards for commercial girl groups have been exponentially raised since the birth of Xenomanian pop.

People's standards for commercial girl groups have been exponentially raised since the birth of Xenomanian pop. In Europe maybe. But Xeno's pop has only scored big in the USA once in the past 10 years. So...We'll see what happens-i guess. Meanwhile....The video will premiere on BBC-One on November 2nd!

I GOT MY EMAIL FOR NEW YORK!!
They apologized for taking so long to email me, and that they were rescheduling the dates, and that they would email me my code to buy the tickets soon.

I'm quoting this from another forum.... Apparently the 'Headlines' video is being filmed this weekend. Hmmm...Do you think Voodoo has anything to do with Eddie Murphy? lol I'm bummed that we don't get B-Sides as a bonus disc...Ah well. edit: The Girls are also opening the Victoria Secret Fashion Show on November 15th! (CBS, i think?)

i think if this was a new album (with good music) that the Spice Girls could be as big as they once were. everything seems to be going amazing for them right now... i hope they keep up this momentum.

Bra Power! Spice Girls Selling New Album at Victoria's Secret TUESDAY OCTOBER 16, 2007 09:00 AM EDT By Marisa Laudadio and Kristen Mascia Forget the record store. For their Greatest Hits album, the Spice Girls have chosen a retailer with products considerably closer to their, uh, hearts. The sexy pop group has partnered with Victoria's Secret to sell the 15-track album exclusively through the lingerie giant's stores and Web site, PEOPLE has learned. "They do great bras, and every girl wears a bra. And they should ?at some point in their life. Unless they don’t need to wear one," Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown told PEOPLE Monday night. The CD, due Nov. 13, will not be available at traditional retail outlets but will be downloadable at various music sites including iTunes. (Fans can also pre-order hard copies of the CD at www.victoriassecret.com for 24 hours between midnight on Oct. 17 and 18.) The album features 13 of the group's biggest hits, plus two new tracks: the album's first single "Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)" and "Voodoo." The partnership also extends to television: Baby (Emma Bunton), Ginger (Geri Halliwell), Scary (Mel B.), Sporty (Melanie C.) and Posh (Victoria Beckham) will perform during the annual Victoria's Secret fashion show, which tapes in Los Angeles on Nov. 14 and airs on CBS Dec. 4. The Spice Girls, who have sold 55 million albums worldwide, kick off their world tour on Dec. 2 in Vancouver.

I love when celebrities pretend that their brand/franchise alliances are anything other than purely convenient & mercenary. Especially for an act like the Spice Girls. "No seriously! We feel a deep connection with VS...we really like their bras. Money is completely removed from our relationship with this brand..."
Shut up. This is why I will never respect marketing beyond a theoretical interest in how it feels to control the masses through persuasion.

Where did any of them mention anything close to the fake quote you said? Mel B's comment sounded like a joke.

^I kind of used them as a scapegoat for general celebrity endorsements. I was a little harsh. Sorry. My general attitude towards the whole phenomenon remains the same.

It served as a segue for me to comment on a general aspect of celebrity culture that I really dislike. And actually, it's over now, so let's move on.

VICTORIA BECKHAM UNHAPPY AT GERI'S SINGING PLANS Another day, another opportunity for the babbling pools of acid that make up the Spice Girls to have a bitchy falling out. This time, it's the turn of Victoria Beckham, who is reportedly furious at Geri Halliwell's plans to sing a medley of her own solo hits, which would - admittedly - be around 40 seconds of torture. Victoria feels it is best for the girls to stick to the group stuff, and with her solo back catalogue you can hardly blame her - unless she's planning on wheeling out Dane Bowers and a vocoder mid-set. The girls have taken sides, and can you guess which way? Oddly, Mel C and Emma Bunton (moderately successful solo careers) feel that Geri might be onto a good idea here. Why! They could do a similar thing themselves, eh? Whereas Mel B (and her collection of gurnings which stank up the charts) is on Posh's side. Star magazine reports that Posh and Ginger have also fallen out over costumes, both believing that they have valuable fashion experience to bring to the group. So it's a choice between the band looking like a collection cheekbones in black, or a group of common whores. I'm with Geri on this one. After all, it worked for them in the past. SOURCE

I got their email for the NYC area shows today - too bad all the shows are either sold out or only have shitty seats remaining.

when is the song gonna leak??? :( 30 sec clip: youtube.com/watch?v=VpxblErROhIBased on the clip i dont like it. Too bad they didn't give us a full chorus clip. It sounds like the clip is from towards the end of the song. Hmmm.....it also sounds like it came from the 'Forever' era. Not a good thing, cause that's not 'classic spice'. IMO Maybe they should have released a new version of 'WOMAN'. Hopefully Voodoo is more 90-ish.
