I just want to hear an album full of material that I hadn't received 2-3 years ago. *Edit* I mean 3-4 years Did you hear Dreaming Out Loud before it was released last year on Interscope? can't WAIT for the next album hope it doesn't take forever like what The Fray is doing. I dont think they will take a super long time to make it. Ryan is smart. He knows they need to stay relevant and fresh.

Wow, this is still selling? And without a single on the radio right now. I'm glad this album has sold so well. Hopefully it'll go platinum in the future.

As massive as Apologize was, I'm somewhat shocked it didn't go Platinum. I didn't care for the album as a whole but Apologize and Say should've moved 500k each. lol

Apologize was so huge, it should have sold at least 2 million worldwide. And I hope they come up with something majestic again

OneRepublic
TBA (Mosley Music/Interscope, TBA)
What began as recording a new song for a deluxe edition of its breakthrough 2007 debut "Dreaming Out Loud" morphed into sessions for OneRepublic's next album, according to guitarist Zach Filkins. While on tour last year, the band "kind of got inspired by a couple of songs" and wound up tracking new tunes in Germany and Japan. "We decided maybe we should stop and take advantage of this and write the second album," Filkins says. "The new stuff is a real blend of rock mixed with pop. Some of the songs are clearly like top 40 and other stuff is going to be a little more obscure."

I'm still surprised they never pushed "Mercy" in earnest. I thought it would become a huge hit. It's interesting how they seemingly fell into obscurity almost after "Stop And Stare" peaked. They had an immense chart presence then, with Ryan Tedder also effectively establishing himself as a household name when it comes to co-writes and producing............now they're virtually nowhere to be seen at the moment! Sincerely, Noah Eaton

They're going back into the studio to record for the 2nd album next month and also doing 2 shows. They will be at the Grammy's since they're nominated in a cat. for Apologize. Ryan is also up for his own for Bleeding Love since he co-wrote it.

I wasn't aware bleeding love was up for a writing nomination? Unless you meant he's up for ROTY, because he had something to do with producing it?

I hope they don't end up as two-hit wonders.

Very good slot opening for Rob!
Apologize & Say were so awesome, I was disappointed to see Say flop.

Why is come home being re released now. Makes little sense. Yeah, I didnt think it made any sense either really. Maybe to get their name back out there to remind the public for the new album? Ryan wrote a blog on Myspace earler this week saying they'll be done in 5 weeks. He said 4 out of 9 songs are already recorded, mastered & ready to go. But someone found this French article saying the release date is Oct. 12th. www.musicactu.com/actualite-musique/noi_110647/onerepublic-s-est-emancipe-de-timbaland/We havent heard anything about a new single but maybe its still too early. If anyone has any inside info let us know please ;)

New album entitled "Waking Up". The new single is "All The Right Moves". It will be out to radio in the next few weeks per band's Twitter. So actually I guess I should make a new thread then.
