Just finished seeing Kylie Morgan. Was an interesting show. Standing in line to meet her. She sang covers of Strawberry Wine, Gunpowder and Lead, and Lizzos Love Hurts.
Her opener was a local guy named Eric Marcs who I liked a lot

Hoping to see Thomas Rhett (with Jordan and Kameron), Old Dominion (with Frank and Steven Lee), Lee Brice (with Tenille A) etc. Since these happened, here are some reviews. Feb 9 at Rogers Arena - Kameron Marlowe: The vocal was pretty good, not surprisingly, being the winner of The Voice. His setlist was okay, but very happy that he sang my favs Over Now and We Were Cowboys, and he nailed both. I found him to be the strongest vocalist of the day, especially when all 3 sang one acoustic song each during the set of Thomas Rhett. I sometimes found the production or mic setting is off for openers, but it was not the case with this show. 4/5. - Jordan Davis: His vocal was also unique, if not as strong as Kameron. The setlist included all the radio singles, and also album tracks like Detours, Part Of It, and Tucson Too Late. These tracks are not my best fav, and kinda wish he sang Need To Not, but can't complain as I loved his performance on all radio singles. Especially, What My World Spins Around, which I started liking more since the show, and Singles You Up, were fun times. 5/5. - Thomas Rhett: Very fun setlist. His vocal was not as strong as Kameron or unique as Jordan, but still pleasant, and sounded well in ballad songs like Angels or Die A Happy Man. He sang most of the singles, but cut off Be A Light and Star Of The Show, which I have not complaint about. He also shortened It Goes Like This, Get Me Some Of That, and combined with Vacation, which is also fine, as I don't care for any of these, but I think he did not need to sing Vacation in full. He also covered She Had Me At Heads Carolina, which was definitely the best moment of the night for me, and Slow Down Summer was the highlight performance. He also did mini Bluebird Cafe style acoustic session with Jordan and Kameron, which was pretty cool. I hope I can see him one day doing doing a full set for Country Again, as that's my fav album. Including the openers, I had an amazing time. 5/5. Feb 28 at Rogers Arena - Steven Lee Olsen: Very short set, but glad he sang my fav Nashville Or Nothing and Outta Yours. Pretty average as a vocalist, production was too strong and the cover of Blue Ain't Color, which he wrote, was okay. Maybe fun to have a longer set, as he wrote quite a few hit songs. 2/5. - Shawn Austin: Fifth time seeing him lol. Stronger vocalist than Steven, but setlist is okay. The highlight was when Dallas Smith surprised the crowd by showing up and singing Chris Lane part of Tailgate To Heaven. Haters can hate, but I enjoy his vocal performance. 2/5. - Frank Ray: He sang the new single, as well as Country'd Look Good On You, which both were pretty meh. I liked his dress shirt, and he also covered Despacito and showcased his Latin roots, which I really want him to do more with his country outputs. Speaking of, he sang my fav Streetlight, but I prefer the studio version. The production and vocal felt pretty off to me. He can be pretty entertaining with right production/vocal adjustment and better setlist. 1/5. - Old Dominion: I was quite worried about the production, as the instrument was too loud throughout the openers, but they fixed it well for the main! The setlist was fantastic, only compliant would be missing Some People Do and I'm On It, but it was expected. Matthew and band sounded pretty well, and it was just very fun 1.5 hrs, completely outshining the openers. I saw them in 2020, but I definitely enjoyed them more this time. The highlight was Also, I love that they did snippets of the songs that the band members wrote including Sangria or Wild Hearts. They did the similar thing in 2020, but it was done better this time in the advertisement style using the screen. The highlight would be Boat That Day and One Man Band. 5/5 April 11 at Abbotsford Center - Josh Ross: More like a nice rock concert. The production was pretty strong and rock oriented, but Josh's vocal was also pretty distinct and was not overpowered by the instrument. Makes sense that he is opening for Nickelback. He also sounded great with a balld song (First Taste Of Gone). Can't wait for more music from him, and definitely here for a longer set! Did meet and greet, he was tall. 4/5. - Tenille Arts: Stunning vocal. Different type of vocal, but as great as Tenille Townes. She also did some acoustic songs, which would have been a great performance with strong vocal and emotional lyrics, but the stadium was too big for that kind of performance, and I could not focus on her songs with all the noise around me. I Hate This was vocally my fav performance. Shame she skipped Give It To Me Straight, but pleasantly surprised that he sang Wildfire and Whiskey. Had to run out during the Somebody Like That to be in a line for meet and greet. Ready for a longer set. 4/5 - Lee Brice: The vocal production was a little weird, maybe too much echo. Hard To Love is my fav song by him (actually one of my all time favs), but the production was a little too loud, which was disappointing. He is not the strongest vocalist, and he shouted here and there, but still a good entertainer. He did some Garth cover, and sang Crazy Girl by EYB. Setlist was good, he missed Woman Like You and Save The Roses, which are two songs I wish he'd sang. I Hope You're Happy Now with Tenille Arts was not bad, but Tenille outshine by miles when it comes to the vocal. Memory I Don't Mess With and I Don't Dance were my fav, and happy that finally I heard Hard To Love in a concert, despite the production. 3.5/5 More expensive concerts are coming to my city, such as Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen, which I'm not sure if I'm going. Jon Pardi with Midland, on the other hand, is something that I'm likely to be going.

I’m seeing Carly Pearce tonight and I’m so excited! My fiancé got us tickets as a surprise for Valentine’s Day! Conner Smith is opening which I’m pleased with too. I’m mostly excited she’s playing a headlining show close by so I didn’t have to sit through a Blake Shelton concert to see her.

Saw Tenille Townes in DC last week. Ironically, it was nearly one year ago to the day was the last time she was in DC at the same venue. Very energetic but I don't think more than 200 people were there. Last year, when the gig was on a Friday, same issue. She did a meet and greet afterwards though. Very energetic show and she took requests midway through the set when her band got a break. Tickets were 17 bucks and for those familiar with DC, it was close to two Metro stops.

Saw Shania on Saturday night in Tulsa. One of the best productions she’s put on. Very pleased to also have heard songs from the new album as well as Roll Me On The River from NOW and to have Forever and For Always back in her live show.

Last night at the red river valley fair in west fargo nd i saw tigirlily(who are from hazen nd) as they played the free stage, they were really good! They even did a free meet n greet so i got a pic and my mug signed by them. They are very nice and i really hope they can become a bigger name in the years to come.
Tonight i’ll be going back to the fair as jelly roll is the headliner tonight, a friend actually won free tickets to it so all i have to buy is my drinks!

I know she's not "country" anymore, but I saw Taylor Friday night in Kansas City. There's no one doing a show like she is. The energy, the emotion, the commanding presence, the production... I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen a lot of live shows. Won't ever forget it.

Alana Springsteen opened for Luke Bryan at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD on July 7th. I wasn't at that show. But, Alana posted on her socials a free show at a hotel near Merriweather on July 8th. I went to that one. The stage was set up in the dining area of a bar. There was a few places to sit if you go there early enough but there was standing room as well. Alana a full set of covers and some songs that are dropping this Friday. Then, she took a break, met some people in the crowd, and played the 25 minute set she performed the night prior and added more songs to it. She took requests from the crowd and noticed one guy sitting alone that was singing every one of her released songs. She also leaked her duet partner on a song that is dropping Friday, going as far as saying, I don't know if I can say this, and said it anyway (she is still teasing this on her socials).
She did a meet and greet after. Very friendly. Her manager was very nice as well. It was very well organized. I am not sure how this type of gig happened but Alana thanked someone in the crowd multiple times.

Finally caught the new Dierks tour tonight in Tampa, Caylee Hammack and Jordan Davis opened.
Y'all Caylee is AMAZING. Everyone around me was completely blown away by her set. Incredible vocals, stage presence, and just a ton of fun. Also very sweet, she replied to my IG story after the show. As a fellow redhead, she is giving us reds a good name.
I liked Jordan going into tonight but hot damn does he put on one hell of a show!!! His stage presence and fan interactions honestly put me in mind of Dierks a lot, something I've always loved about him. They seem to get along really well and are apparently having the time of their lives on tour together. I was super impressed with Jordan's show. I wish his headlining tour was coming to NC (yes I know he is coming to SC but I can't go on that date hashtag mom life).
Dierks never disappoints. Obviously he's my favorite, yadda yadda, but it so obvious that being on stage is his favorite place to be. Something Real sounded so great live, and the place was already singing along so I think it should connect well at radio. He brought Caylee back out and they did 9 to 5, and Jordan came out for What Was I Thinkin (wearing a Hot Country Knights shirt). They finally decided to make it PAINFULLY OBVIOUS it's Dierks and his band for HCK in the video preceding their 'set' so maybe now people will finally catch on, lol.
I'm seeing the show again next week in Missouri, with Tracy Lawrence (!!!) and Caitlyn Smith opening.

She is incredibly talented, brings something fresh to the genre, and just plain deserves all the love and attention she hasn't gotten yet.

Just saw Alexandra Kay at her first stop of her Dive Bar Dreamer tour here in Wichita and she said it was the fastest she'd ever sold out a show, ever. She was overwhelmed and such a light. Her personality and live vocals were just A+ and I love seeing her slow build to becoming a bigger star. She sang all the essentials from her, albeit small, catalog, with the exception of "All the Cowboys" which I was bit surprised/bummed didn't make the cut. Everything else she sang was exceptional though, namely "I Hate Airplanes" to kick off the show which is possibly my favorite thing she's put out to date, if not second to "How Do We Go" which got the best crowd reception and had the loudest sing-along of the set. The chills from everyone singing that one back to her was sublime, and you can tell she ate it up. She also sang a lot of very fun covers from classic rock songs to stuff like "Leave (Get Out)" by JoJo. And of course, with her debut album slated to (finally) drop in October, she sang a handful of unreleased tracks from the forthcoming project. One of them was a song she had never performed live before tonight, so that was a treat. One of the new cuts is coming out in August, she said. Super excited for that, and the full record!

I remember being impressed by her personality and stage presence, it's cool she's breaking through a bit! She told us at the show that in 2018, when she was completely independent after being dropped by a second record label, she decided to book a bunch of shows herself across two months and said she was lucky if she performed for a crowd of 5 people on any given night. Fast-forward to last night and she was at the first sold-out show of her current tour that had already sold over 8,000 tickets. You could tell how grateful she was.

Just got home from Billy Currington, Eli Young Band, and Hannah Ellis. Was supposed to be outdoors but was wisely moved indoors due to possible severe weather. They made the call early in the day. And man did it rain when we got there and all the way home.
Billy is fantastic. Hadn't seen him since 2004. EYB is very good. I felt bad for Hannah as her and her guitar player were pretty much ignored her entire set. The volume of people talking during was embarrassing. She's got a big voice and I really hope she can get a song to work at radio.
Luke Bryan's farm tour show an hour away was cancelled. A lot of pissed of people. But it was a mud fest and could have ended up like that show out west were people were stranded for days a few weeks back.

Is lesser known festivals fair game for this thread? If so, I went to the Annapolis Songwriters Festival last month. This is the 2nd annual and they already announced next years dates.
