I think the party doesn't start until midnight Eastern time (9 pm West Coast) so it would be on the 10th streaming live. BHC I hope Carrie doesn't have the most boring performance of the night per the media since some of the others are doing pretty cool stuff.

dang ^ you are depressing...Let's just hope for another amazing performance of BHC from Carrie.. this has a little insite on what Carrie will be wearing on the red carpet... www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080208/TUNEIN/80208030Underwood opts for floral look
On Sunday, the most frequent question Carrie Underwood will be asked on the Grammy red carpet is, “Who are you wearing?”
Let me be the first to give you that answer. Carrie is wearing a floral dress by Zuhair Murad and jewelry (as usual) by Johnathan Arndt. Her stylist, Trish Townsend, tells me it’s a really different look for Carrie, and many artists wouldn’t have the courage to pull it off. The fashion magazines say florals are all the rage for spring. Trish designed Carrie’s performance outfit, and she hasn’t yet decided what Carrie will wear to the post-show Sony BMG party at the Beverly Hills Hotel.many artists wouldn't have the courage to pull it off? interesting. i think its going to be flowers on her lol. Now somebody from the FC is saying that they heard E!(ryan) report that Carrie is singing with Brad . Maybe they are both doing parts of their songs and something together!! please Ryan dont tease me!!! i'll hate you if they dont sing together! ^ I doubt if she'll perform 2 years in a row...She'll just get to enjoy the evening and not have any pressure which I'm sure she'll enjoy..lol... maybe shes just going to the party for other things! hehe!

I don't mind BHC, but I do hope for something like last year where she did more than one song.

I am sure the grammy producers will help Carrie make it an incredible performance with all their special effects and lighting, etc. I was just reacting in the moment--- I had my heart set on a Tammy Wynette tribute type thing. But if Ryan Seacrest is right- and cArrie is doing something with brad too--- then I am in heaven!!! If she gets to do more then one song- we are good to go! by the way-- to the person -alec?-who heard BHC in the background-- did they play her entire rehearsals, or just a clipof the BHC part? because I listened to westwood and I couldn't hear any singing in the background. So maybe they just focused on that one part of BHC that you heard--- but there was more you did not hear. Jeff----- I agree- I will seriously punch Ryan Seacrest if he got me all excited about a carrie -brad duet, and it is not true. :( EDIT: here is the link to the Enews article saying carrie is performing with brad!!!! they better not be wrong cuz I am so excited if true!www.eonline.com/news/article/index.jsp?uuid=1a622b15-625d-47a3-b6d4-4afda4e53ec0By the way- Dudley--how do you multi-quote here? this is getting hard to reply to everyone without multi-quotes-- and I am sure I am pissing dudley off. lol

tsharky - I think it was the whole song and than after a few minutes again they said Carrie is rehearsing, but didn't mention Brad. One of the hosts sang along to bhc and said she loves Carrie. Would be great if Carrie gets to perform solo and later something with Brad too.

I hope Carrie has a good performance. She's come along way in the last two years with her ability to perform. She seems much better in concert settings, loose and relaxed and having a great time v. on television where she can come across as stiff and nervous. I hope she shakes her nerves and gives a knock out performance of BHC.
I do agree that the audience might be tired of BHC by now but I think it's fitting that she sing a song that garnered not only her a personal nomination but also two song writing nominations as well.
I can't wait to see what she wears...she always looks beautiful on the red carpet.

Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift and Others Are Ready for the Grammyswww.cmt.com/news/articles/1581238/20080208/underwood__carrie.jhtmlCarrie UnderwoodCarrie Underwood will be looking at Sunday night's (Feb. 10) Grammy Awards show in Los Angeles as an awards show veteran who's ready to pass the best new artist torch to another country singer.
"I'm very excited once again to be nominated," Underwood said recently. "The Grammys are extremely well recognized in all genres of music all around the world, so it's really amazing to be in the company that I'm in.
"It's really cool also to see Taylor Swift being nominated in the best new artist category. It's kind of like, 'Wow, that was me last year. I'm not a newbie anymore.' It's cool to go back kind of more seasoned, I guess."
In addition to the best new artist Grammy -- which includes nominees from all styles of music -- Underwood also won the best female country vocal performance award last year for her recording of "Jesus, Take the Wheel."<Snip>

Guys--- here are rehearsal pix of brad practicing today....more are coming in. I am thinking that brad is doing something solo, carrie is doing something solo-- BHC. But then maybe carrie joins brad for a duet later? I suppose it could be a surprise. www.wireimage.com/GalleryListing.asp?navtyp=gls====304345&nbc1=1more pix loading as we speak....so maybe carrie's rehearsal will be on there too. I can't imagine ryan seacrest getting it wrong when it pertains to carrie- since they are friends. But it is confusing. I am trying not to get my hopes up-- for the duet-- because it will be dissapointing if it doesn't happen.

It's kind of disappointing she is doing "BHC" since she has done it so many times, but the song has 3 noms, so it makes sense. If nothing else, this might push the song to 3x Platinum by the end of the year :)
I really hope the rumor that she is also singing with Brad is true. Even if it's just "Oh Love," it will be great to see her throughout the show like that (hopefully a win is thrown in there somewhere).

^ yeah I loved carrie's floral dress that she wore to the cmt awards last year. It was so cute- reminded me of something reese witherspoon would wear.
goodness- wireimage is really slow at uploading rehearsal pix. Clearly-- more then brad paisely rehearsed today. lol
Are there any other sites we can check for pix? getty didn't have any up either.

So, both Ryan Seacrest and E! reported the Carrie/Brad duet? If so, I'd probably believe it. So far I have only seen the E! thing, though.

Honestly, I much rather she did BHC than the obvious choice which would be her current single. And who knows... She could be doing another song with BHC. We just heard a clip so far. Who knows what the full performance will be.

Who knows what the full performance will be. I am beyond excited to have Carrie performing 'Before He Cheats' since it is such a universal, signature song for herr, and I was hoping that her duet is not with Brad , but rather with a more classic, old school, established country artist (much like Beyonce performing with Tina Turner, etc). BTW this is my favourite performance of the song: youtube.com/watch?v=DHieVTY7tnw I can not wait until Sunday night and I hope 'Before He Cheats' wins Song of the Year and Carrie wins her 3rd Grammy for Country Female Vocalist of the Year; however, I wish for Best Country Collaboration to go to Reba and Kelly Clarkson, for their 3rd Grammy each....

I would have preferred for her to perform songs from CR, since it's her current album, but BHC sounds fine to me !! no matter what she sings, i know she will work that stage. She never dissapoints :)

yeah I am nervous too-- but I know she will do great!
If she does BHC, and then later a duet with brad--- I will be very happy with that.
NEWS: extra has a short video clip of brad doing Ticks. So that rumor was true. still no confirmation of the brad-carrie duet that Enews mentioned. I
was just thinking-- that if Carrie does BHC, and Brad does ticks-- and there is no country tribute or duet whatsoever--- it will be kind of a slap in the face to country music again. Every other genre of music is doing a tribute to the past 50 years of grammy history in some way.....by using current stars and oldstars to duet. Very good idea and should be incredible.
ciountry-- is apparenly having no tribute to the past at all--- if brad sings ticks, and carrie sings BHC--- and there is no duet.
I am praying neil portnow did not do that to country-- as you know the .... is going to hit the fan if all the past history of country is ignored, while all the other genres get a tribute duet. Since carrie and brad are the only ones there representing country that are performing-- no one else but them, can do a tribute to country. If they don't-- it will be kind of lame....what about johnny cash, tammy wynette, etc? seems sort of a slap in the face to country......

^ ^ I can see your point, but I think you can always find things like that if you look too close. People said country was snubbed last year because of Carrie and RF doing cover songs, but they neglected to mention the Dixie Chicks also performed. So, 3 country acts performed 4 songs in total. That is more than rap got, and it was probably as much or more than R&B got. It was more than jazz, gospel, Latin, and folk got combined.
So, if all country gets this year are Carrie and Brad doing 2-3 songs, you could see it as being poor, but you could also see it as being more than rap, polka, Latin, classical, etc. will get.
As country music fans, of course we want to see country music represented. But when you consider all of the genres out there, the relatively small amount of time the show has, and what the average viewer tuning in wants to see, I can understand why country music doesn't get more.

She never dissapoints :) Yup... as long as country is represented a little more genuinely this year... that's the main thing. Carrie & Rascal Flatts doing an Eagles song last year as the ONLY Country representation was a real slap in the face of Country music... Country artists doing their own Country songs is the way it should be.

It's odd that so far carrie hasn't attended any events as there are no pictures of her anywhere....but then again, neither has beyonce, fergie, nelly furtado, etc.
