Didn't see a thread, and saw that 'Rock With U' gained a good amount on Rhythmic since yesterday, so figured I'd post it outside of the LUV thread. I'm not quite sure if it's okay to do that or not, but figured it would be since it's rising and not falling.

Singles are pretty messy, I'm not even sure what's going on anymore.
I guess it's all good because the more radio plays her songs, the better the album sales.

'LUV' should have been the second single all around, or 'The 1'.
I guess the more exposure the better?

That's what they're after, saturation more than smash hits. I'm praying it works out the way they planned it...

yeah i think "luv" is going top 10 at urban! If it does it will become at hit at the other two formats! Then, that will officially set up the next single to do really well! I wonder if they are trying to show the diversity of the cd "feedback" is pop/dance/urban-pop. "Luv" is R&b and "Rock with you" is dance/lounge/electronic. Each of these songs appeal to her core audiences! Though i do believe if they had just promoted the hell out of feedback that would have worked for all formats. but hey! we got to hear more than one song before album release.

yes, luv needed to be the single everywhere..
where were their brains when they chose this to be a single in the US and not outside? i mean, this is horrible no matter where, but less 'radio-enemy' in Europe

I think that this is exactly what they are doing. Janet lost a lot of her pop/dance-pop fans with the last two projects...especially after 20 Copies Sold. The "midget" made a number of questionable comments concerning some of her previous singles and gay fans leading up to it's release...going as far as saying that Janet was a "black artist" that should be making "black" music. I'll be honest, this didn't sit well with me, especially as I have been a fan since the beginning. Anyway, these 3 singles do show that there is diversity in this project and that Janet is staying true to what made her a mega-star in the first place!

I was like--then you certainly dont know what transcended Janet to her Megastar status. I'm glad she's back to doing what she does best!

2 stations dropped this and the bullet went down 40. They could have easily just been test spins.
