^ Don't forget that Take A Bow has peaked on radio so it'll be easy for 4ever to go #2 next week.

This song has been out on iTunes for quite a while now and has sold over a million copies. With You has sold around 1.8 million to date, so this isn't doing too badly considering it hasn't peaked in airplay yet.

I didn't mean itunes but the Hot 100 since the airplay points TAB will get will be lower week by week while the opposite will happen to 4ever so it has possibilities for #2 next week on the Hot 100.

I'm tired of this song already.
Another weak #1, if it gets there.

It's going to hit #1 here on the meaningful chart here in the U.S. - the Mediabase pop chart... the way that Billboard does it's Hot 100 pretty much kills the song's chances to get to #1 there though. Someday, maybe they will fix their methodology.

Yeah it sucks that country, rock, and gospel songs have almost NO CHANCE of ever hitting #1 or even Top 20 on the Hot 100, but what can you do. Those type of songs get low downloads and average airplay. Hot 100 is for the most popular songs in the country. So only songs with 150 million impressions AIRPLAY and/or 200,000 digital downloads/week are going to get the top spots. Makes sense to me!

This song is so grating when it's played every half hour.

I just jumped on the train with this song. I love it, lol. A little late I know. haha I think it is so interesting how at the beginning of this whole Exclusive era Chris Brown's career was looking a little dismal. Boy how that turned around, he is bigger than ever!

Billboard disagrees with you-it has changed its methods a billion times in the past 15 years. I can assure you they will continue to tweak/change over the next 15-20. Everyone will be disgruntled about something with every rule change though.

Yeah it sucks that country, rock, and gospel songs have almost NO CHANCE of ever hitting #1 or even Top 20 on the Hot 100, but what can you do. It doesn't have anything to do with whining... the fact of the matter is that chart's been screwed up pretty bad for about 17 years now, and it's probably worse than ever today thanks to them combining airplay for all formats, and most especially not doing anything to penalize the artists/labels that repress downloads... Sure I can buy a #1 song... let me just wait for the airplay to get to the top 10 or so, and then let me spring it on the public where I get 250,000 downloads in one week rather than have them spread out over 7! I'm not sure which is more disgusting - the actual practice, or Billboard continuing to do nothing about it and letting their reputation continue to gather lots of tarnish. They failed to react properly (or actually at all for a long time) back in the early 1990's when the record companies started to phase out the single, resulting in some HUGE airplay hits (most notably No Doubt's "Don't Speak" and the Cardigans' "Lovefool") nowhere to be found in their chart annals... Other songs from that era had very limited release, resulting in skewed figures (i.e: airplay #10, but sales #70) and a resulting strange Hot 100 chart position. In the late 90's, the few singles that were released often times were sold for .49 cents (yes, at a substantial loss) just to buy a high Hot 100 chart position. The old adage "it's not number 1, until it's number 1 in Billboard" is no longer true... it's simply now just an old adage which has no relevance today. To digress, it only matters to me if Chris's song gets to #1 on the airplay charts...

^ Why is airplay more important than sales since some songs get payola to be played?
