Big Girl Now is the only song that could potentially save them at this point.

I'm really not happy about that SINGLE wasn't a hit. it's the best R&B slow jam ever this year.

"Single" seems to be getting more play here than "Summertime" did.
I don't think "Dirty Dancing" is the song they should be releasing as their 3rd...

It's been rumored for YEARS, but photos of Jonathan Knight cuddling up with his boyfriend have leaked so I guess it's official. He's gay.

New Kids on the Block at the Santa Barbara BowlConcert Season Kicks Off with High Energy Pop Reunion Monday, April 20, 2009 By Helen Tracey Though they’re all pushing 40, Joey McIntyre, Danny Wood, Jordan and Jonathan Knight, and Donnie Wahlberg spent Friday night proving that the New Kids On The Block are still young enough to break-dance and harmonize their way back into the limelight. The group’s high-energy show was reflected in the mainly-female crowd that danced and screamed throughout the opening night concert at the Santa Barbara Bowl. Hundreds flocked to see the group play old favorites, as well as new hits. Many carried with them heart-shaped signs professing their love for band members, while the New Kids tried to prove that they’re all grown up. Jabbawockeez kicked off the night America’s Best Dance Crew-style, complete with a 10-foot-tall white mask (their trademark symbol) acting as their backdrop. They danced to songs ranging from Sir Mix-A-Lot and Vanilla Ice to Michael Jackson and Beyoncé Knowles. But the crowd didn’t truly start to feel it until the lights dimmed and the big screen projectors were fired up. Much like a soap opera, words appeared on the screens, giving the crowd a brief history of the band from their start in 1984 to the present. The monitors then flashed an “Are you ready?” and the New Kids rose from the stage in a cloud of smoke, kicking straight into “Call It What You Want” from their Step By Step album. NKOTB started with the classics, but quickly moved into newer songs from their latest album, The Block. Their song “Grown Man” even featured the Pussycat Dolls’ lead singer, Nicole Scherzinger, projected on the screen behind the singers. Half-way through the concert, when a fan threw her panties on stage, Wahlberg picked them up and proceeded to unfold the bunched-up bundle to reveal a thong. “I think you lost something,” laughed Wahlberg. “Oh you want me to keep it?” he then quipped to a frenzy of female screams. “Do you want me to smell it?” asked Wahlberg. Another wave of screams erupted in response. “Okay. Anyone who doesn’t want to see me sniff these should look away on the count of three.” After an elongated count-down, Wahlberg put the underwear up to his nose and inhaled, causing the sea of fans to go crazy. With that, Wahlberg tucked the underwear into his pocket and continued his talk with the crowd. Throughout the entirety of the concert, fans could be heard yelling “Oh my God, oh my God” and professing their undying love for each member of the group. And while most of the Bowl has seating, the crowd remained standing for almost the entire length of the show. Ending the set with “Hanging Tough” and part of Queen’s “We Will Rock You” (while sporting Boston Celtics jerseys), the New Kids undoubtedly broke a couple hearts by night’s end, but promised they would return as part of their summertime tour.

2 in the mmorning- the chorus is good and memorable- the verse music/word sounds derivative of about 100 other RnB songs around- the video- I don't know- I like a video to concentrate on the stars- not strangers who re-enact the "story" and no one knows. Also- too many of them singing the lead to the song- it should be ONE person and the rest backing him up- it's not like they are not having enough singles to spread around the faith. Those are just my thoughts.

I'm upset that 2 In the Morning did not pick up at radio. It's such a solid pop song!

New Kids Cancel Aussie Tour, Cite Recession June 18, 2009 02:36 PM ET
Reunited '80s boy band New Kids On The Block has canceled a planned tour of Australia, blaming the economic downturn amid reports of poor ticket sales.
Donnie Wahlberg said in a blog posting on the band's website that they had "exhausted efforts" to get the tour off the ground but it was proving to be "too complex."
"We are, in fact, in the middle of a worldwide recession and we just cannot make it work," he said without referring to reports that weak ticket sales had forced the decision.
The U.S. group, formed when the five band members were all teenagers, sold more than 70 million albums with their hits including "You Got It (The Right Stuff)" and "I'll Be Loving You," before breaking up in 1994.
They got back together last year and released their first album in 14 years, "The Block," before embarking on a tour. The band is currently touring the United States and Canada.
Wahlberg said the group was "saddened" to cancel the Australian trip scheduled for August as the nation had "always, always, been one of our favorite places to travel to."
"We can only assure you that when the recession's stranglehold on the world's economies eases up a bit - we will find a way to make this work," he said.

New Kids on the Block, Backstreet Boys Talking Joint TourBy Megan Vick, N.Y. | August 18, 2010 4:50 EDT The ultimate boy band tour could be coming soon to an arena near you. New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys are close to signing a deal with Live Nation Entertainment which could lead to a joint tour as early as March 2011, E! News reports. The members of NKOTB and BSB may be recording a single together before the proposed tour. While Live Nation has not commented on the tour, the company is also said to be looking for a third group to round out the tour, with Boyz II Men at the top of the wish list. "The idea is to recreate the boy band phenomenon," says a source close to the negotiations. "It will be the ultimate ladies' night out." The boy bands first teamed up last June during a Radio City Music Hall performance. At the concert, New Kids on the Block joined the Backstreet Boys (sans Kevin Richardson, who left the band in 2006) for a rendition of the latter's smash hit "I Want It That Way."

New Kid on the Block Jonathan Knight Comes Out of the ClosetKnight goes public with his sexuality after comments by pop singer TiffanyBy US Weekly January 31, 2011 1:05 PM ET He had millions of crazed, weeping female fans screaming his name in the late Eighties, but New Kid on the Block Jonathan Knight has an announcement: He's gay. The singer, who is about to hit the road with his boy band mates plus the Backstreet Boys, spoke up for himself after fellow Eighties icon Tiffany (and one-time girlfriend) accidentally revealed his sexuality during a live TV interview. Explaining that he's been out of the closet for two decades, Knight, 42, said in a statement (posted at Towleroad.com): "I have never been outed by anyone but myself! I did so almost 20 years ago. I never knew that I would have to do it all over again publicly just because I reunited with NKOTB! I have lived my life very openly and have never hidden the fact that I am gay! Apparently the prerequisite to being a gay public figure is to appear on the cover of a magazine with the caption 'I am gay'. I apologize for not doing so if this is what was expected!" During an appearance on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, "I Think We're Alone Now" singer Tiffany dished that she and Jonathan dated back when she toured with the hugely popular group. "[He] became gay later," Tiffany joshed. "I didn't do it. I had issues with that. I was thinking maybe I did. Now looking back when we were dating, he was so much fun. We used to do facials together. He was so easy to talk to." Adds Knight in his statement: "I love living my life being open and honest, but at this time I choose not to discuss my private life any further! My fellow band members don't discuss their private lives with their loved ones and I don't feel that just because I am gay, I should have to discuss mine!"
