Somebody at Jive got pissed because he's talking about leaving the label so they leaked his album over 2 months in advance. LOL.
Good thing is the album is actually hot and his best effort since Chocolate Factory. It's not anywhere near a classic like CF but it's got some great material.
Right now, I'm feeling "Skin" and "Screamer" the most but "Son of A Bitch" is hilarious!

R. Kelly Still Steamy On New Song LeaksHillary Crosley, N.Y. R. Kelly doesn't spare any bedroom tales on a host of new songs leaked online this week, although it's unclear if they are intended to appear on his next Jive album, "12 Play 4th Quarter." However, a spokesperson says the leak has jump-started the promo push for the project, due in the fourth quarter, and that Kelly is shooting a video for confirmed album track "Skin" this weekend. On leaked tracks like "Screamer," "At the Same Time" and "Two Seater," Kelly regales the listener with salacious tales that conjure up 1993's original "12 Play" album. The vocoder-led "Screamer" finds the singer describing a secret sex session in a crowded house while trying his best not to alert his company. On "At The Same Time," Kelly croons about reaching his carnal goals over guitar plucks and a double bass drum. Reclaiming his rapping skills on "Two Seater," Kelly bounces over the cut's electronic bops and screwed-up chorus while reminding fans of his financial stature. The new album's first official single, "Hair Braider," stalled at No. 56 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart this spring, in the midst of Kelly's trial and subsequent acquittal on child pornography charges. Kelly's last album, 2007's "Double Up," has moved 946,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003833409

R Kelly Breaks Silence: Singer To Set Record Straight Via BETby Njai Joszor Grammy Award winning R&B singer R.Kelly is set to speak out for the first time since being acquitted of 14 counts of child pornography this summer via an exclusive interview with BET. Titled "R.Kelly Speaks," BET's Toure' sits down with the multi-platinum recording artist for his first and possibly last interview to discuss his long legal battle leading up to the not-guilty verdict. The verdict came six years after the R&B superstar was first charged with videotaping himself having sex with an underage girl who prosecutors believe may have been as young as 13 at the time. Slated to air Tuesday, September 16th at 10pm ET, Kelly will answer the hard-hitting questions surrounding his recent case, career, critics and more, hoping to close this major chapter in his life-once and for all. The "Hairbraider" singer will also speak openly about his feelings during and after the trial, the fans he lost along the way, his brother who openly expressed concern about the superstar's sexual age preference and more. Kelly's exclusive interview follows a series of BET helmed specials including Hip Hop star T.I.'s first interview after being convicted of possession charges. www.singersroom.com/news/entertainment-story-2317.asp

Stupid. He needs to just put it behind him and let it fade into the background. It's been hanging over his head for over 6 years. It didn't seem to do much to hurt his career, but further discussing it is not going to give him any kind of career boost. People have their opinions of him and of the trial, and it is what it is.

This man boy needs to grow up and stop having every single song he create revolve around sex and pissing on teenage girls. It was different when it was the 90s and he made classic slow jams, but now he just is . He's know he's too old for all of this.

Yeah. I guess it's supposed to be sort of like a follow-up. It doesn't have quite the same steppers sound though.

R. Kelly Reveals New Album Will Be Called Untitled'Y'all call it what y'all want,' singer says to Atlanta club crowd. By Shaheem Reid The fourth quarter came and went, and apparently so did R. Kelly's intended title for his next album. Last year it was announced the singer planned on calling his forthcoming LP 12 Play: Fourth Quarter. Well, now that the music biz is officially in quarter one and Kells has yet to put out the album, he's decided to go a different route. Kelly was in Atlanta's Velvet Room on Sunday night, partying while many of his peers were at the Grammy Awards. The singer got on the mic at the club and announced the news. "ATL, what's up? I got my little brother right here, Jazze Pha," he said, standing in the VIP balcony. "I'm out here working on the mutha----in' album. I'm working on a new album and I'm calling that mutha----a Untitled. Y'all call it what y'all want. "I came to have fun with y'all," Kelly continued. The Chicago legend also gave the clubgoers an impromptu mini-concert. "My mind is telling me nooooooo!" he sang, sans the "Bump n' Grind" instrumental. "But my body is telling me yes/ I don't wanna hurt nobody, but there's something I must confess to you." "When R. Kelly walked into the VIP section, the ladies went crazy!" DJ Infamous said. "All you heard was ladies screamin' in the club and cameras going off. I immediately stopped the music and announced he was in the building." Besides a controversial BET interview, Kelly has kept a very low profile since he was cleared of child-pornography charges in June. A spokesperson for Kelly's label, Jive, was unable to be reached. www.mtv.com/news/articles/1604777/20090210/kelly_r.jhtml

R. Kelly kinda sorta needs to sit down. My 5th grade students voted him the worst influence on African-Americans.

R.Kelly is trying too hard to record hit novelty songs. His music is so annoying now.

R. Kelly Preps ‘Untitled’ Album for SeptemberAfter making headlines with his personal life, R. Kelly is turning the focus back to his hitmaking career. The R&B singer, 42, is putting the final touches on his fourteenth studio album. Originally titled 12 Play: Fourth Quarter, Kells’ new LP will go by the name Untitled when it’s released on Sept. 1, DJ Skee exclusively tells Rap-Up.com. The popular DJ and host of Sirius XM’s new radio show “Skeetox,” is among the few who’s heard the album. “I actually just got back from Chicago where they were finishing the album,” he says. “I think I’ve heard about 90 percent of it.” The first single is slated to be a reworked version of the raunchy “No. 1 Sex.” “There was a version that leaked, but they have a whole new version,” reveals Skee. He hinted at a surprise collaboration on R. Kelly’s first album since being acquitted of child pornography charges a year ago. “[There's] one song on there. I don’t think I can leak it yet, but it has like five R&B singers on it. It’s like the new ‘Secret Garden.’ It’s incredible,” he professes, comparing it to the 1989 song by Al B. Sure!, Barry White, El DeBarge, James Ingram, and Quincy Jones. Skee admits that he was apprehensive about meeting the “Ignition” singer, but that quickly changed once they were introduced. “I heard all these stories and I thought it was going to be hard to work with him, but then I met him and he was like the coolest dude,” he adds. “He just loves music and he gets a bad rap from a lot of the other bullshit outside of it. But from my experiences with him, he’s been nothing but one of the coolest people out there, and the music, I think, speaks for itself.” In the meantime, R. Kelly has released his first mixtape with DJ Skee called The Demo Tape, which features remixes of Jeremih’s “Birthday Sex” and Drake’s “Best I Ever Had,” as well as new tracks like “Tip the Waiter.” It is available for download here. –Reporting by David Fromayan www.rap-up.com/2009/06/11/r-kelly-preps-untitled-album-for-september/
