This is the latest single off of her forthcoming album Crayons. The previous single, "I'm A Fire" recently topped the Billboard Hot Dance/Club Play chart. This song is produced by Greg Kurstin (of The Bird & The Bee who brought us "F*cking Boyfriend" back in 2006). He has work on tracks for artists such as Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Jamelia, and Kylie Minogue.
The digital single for this was released on iTunes, Amazon, etc. this past Tuesday.
DJ Escape & Tony Colluccio have remixed this so far.
Overall, I think this track is a lot stronger than "I'm A Fire." With the right mixes, this can be a floorfiller.

I think some remixes of this would be hot! I'd kill to hear a Ralphi Rosario mix or something.

I'd prefer a Moran remix, a tribal remix and an electro remix. Im sure this will have quite an extensive remix package.

From the FMQB Dance page:
The D in Dance stands for Donna: Be on the lookout for the latest single from Donna Summer “Stamp Your Feet” (Burgundy). Now before you say anything, close your eyes and listen to the Jason Nevins Remix Edit, then let us know what you think. This record will do as well as any other single that is performing for you on your station. Dance stations owe it to their listeners to give this record a chance, for without Donna Summer there probably wouldn’t be dance. She is getting ready to release her latest LP CD CRAYONS and she is being very supportive of the dance format by calling radio and being very visible; something that we don't see enough of!. She is also getting ready to go out on a major concert tour.

Do we know if they're gonna try this at other formats? I listened to it and I could actually see it crossing over if she actually promoted it. Reasoning: 1. It has a big beat and shout along part, good for teenagers 2. Subject material doesn't make teens go "Ew she's old enough to be my grandma and she's sing about THAT" 3. Less dancey than some songs at pop radio right now

' love this too. could do without ALL THE SPELLING though. i know how to spell stamp, donna! p.s. how do u rip things from myspace? i know people do it..... One of those programs that lets you record any sound that goes through your computer's sound card. Someone used to tell me that GarageBand lets you do that. I don't have a Mac so I don't know for sure.

I like what Nevins did with the remix! If you want to rip from MySpace any program like SoundForge (PC) or Quicktime Pro (license costs around $25) should do the trick. Just be aware that the quality of the recording uploaded onto MySpace might not be what you anticipate it would be...

MySpace downcodes everything to 96kbps. You can occasionally find them in your Temp Internet Files directory.

According to the most recent emails from PerfectBeat.com, they will have the CD maxi.
Donna Summer News: Yes, the new single is coming. “Stamp Your Feet” has been remixed by DJ Escape & Tony Coluccio, Jason Nevins and a few others. We are hoping to have the exclusive CD single next week. If we get it early enough, we’ll send a special e-mail with a hidden link to the item, but not promote it on the site until the regular update giving you a chance to order it before the general public does. We’re kool like ‘dat.

The Escape and Ranny mixes of this track work very well.
I am very unimpressed with the Nevins remix, I used to be a Nevins fan. I'd say that now i only enjoy one remix of his per year.

I had downloaded them from remix archives before it went private (yuck!)
I love it much more than I'm A Fire! I hope the Perfectbeat Single won't be CDR again.

Yeah, I read their newsletter and believed it should be CDR. Is that pricy to use silver disc?
Anyway, I also got some CDR promos, like Don't Forget About Us you just mentioned, because it includes Tony & Ralphi dub mixes. Not because I am a fan of dub, but I am a Mariah fan!

Anyway, I also got some CDR promos, like Don't Forget About Us you just mentioned, because it includes Tony & Ralphi dub mixes. Not because I am a fan of dub, but I am a Mariah fan! well there is a different promo cd for the donna summer...idk if it's a cd or cdr; just seems like they could sell the same exact thing as the promo? i dont understand giving out the good stuff free and then charging for a lesser product! as far as the mariah goes, there are a bunch of diff versions of that promo.. i have two diff ones now with a total of 9 mixes. there is also, according to discogs, a european one that has ALL the mixes on one cd. i really like that tony dub...it's what he played in all his sets that majority of the time(i did hear him play the mix once back in dec 2005 though.) but back to donna! A couple of the "commercial CDs" that I got from PerfectBeat were actually the promos. For the Darren Hayes single, the one they advertised initially had just a couple mixes by Shave N' Sugar, Wayne G, Dave Pezza and Moto Blanco. I ordered it and it had the Tony Moran, Moto Blanco and Dave Pezza ones. Same with the Paul Lekakis one. There was a commercial one, buy they mailed me the promo.

did that darren hayes just have like white paper sticker over a cdr for the cover? some of theirs seem to-the ron perkov ones and also martha wash "keep your body working." i cannot stand that! at least some like danielle bollinger "surrender me" and the tamia "me" promo had the real glossy cds. dont they know we are all picky?!?!?!!? hell, those paper ones will stick in your cd-rom drive sometimes! I have that same one. It's really bad.

Yeah, that's why I didn't buy Darren Hayes' too. But I bought Kim English's C'est La Vie, which is a cdr with white paper sticking on top. :(
btw, i dunno there is a europe promo of DAFU that contains all mixes. I always use mcarchives.com as my tool to collect her stuff.
Back to Donna, this single really deserves a proper silver disc release. At least more people are going to grab it, they can generate more profit.
