Paula told Us Weekly that she became addicted to pain killers in 2005, and finally went to rehab last November. Not exactly shocking news, but this is the first time she's admitted it.

I think the song is pretty good -- it has that 80s-meets-now feeling. You can buy it on her website for 99 cents.

"Boombox" was one million times better.

This is pretty decent. I thought Boombox (from what I heard) was terrible. I like how recognizable her voice is.

I liked DLTNT ten times better but I still like this. Not that I think it will do much of anything on radio, although I wish she would at least release it to iTunes.
I'm glad she chose this over "Boombox" though.

Paula also has hinted she will be performing it on Wednesday's Idol results show. She confirmed this on Ryan Seacrest. They should put this up on iTunes because that's her only shot at charting. Also I don't know what's the purpose of her performing tonight if you can't buy the song anywhere and there's no release date even set for her album.

You can buy it on her website for 99 cents. If they were selling it through other stores such as iTunes, Amazon, etc., it would have a better chance at charting.

Maybe they figure they'll make more profit from less sales through their website than more sales through iTunes?

I've got to give credit where credit is due. Paula can still dance her ass off.

Unbelievable dancing- better than many of the 20 something pop stars today (will try not to mention names). But......the auto-tuned, precorded vocals are over the top, especially for a live singing competition, lol...
Overall, pretty entertaining performance though

Is the performance up anywhere yet? I want to see it, especially after the positive feedback on here.

I was not surprised she lip-synched but I was surprised at the amount of dancing she did... well done, she still has it. Obviously its not anywhere close to her glory days but it has more dancing than the DLTNT video.

I was very surprised at how much dancing she did. She is pushing 50. Damn! She even flipped down to those dancers and then they propped her up. She's still got it.
I didn't expect her to sing live so I didn't mind the lip sync.

I've got to give credit where credit is due. Paula can still dance her ass off. She was doing the same choreography she did 20 years ago. Those flips and and that leap down in the dancers arms was so from the Straight Up performances LOL. It was a since performance but i cant believe a judge of a singing competition got on stage and lip synched. I would be too embarrassed to do that and turn around and critique some1 else's singing.

Isn't that performance proof of what utter crap American Idol is?
It's a singing competition, and one of their own judges got up on stage and completely lipped an entire song.
The song itself is okay... for 15 years ago.

The song is really bad, but the performance was nice considering her age and problems she's had over the years, even if it looked dated.

That was a very very good performance. The song sucks but she nailed the performance in a way Britney Spears (today) can only dream of. She really killed it, she was really good and people should give her credit for it

She did a great job. Today's female artists (Britney, Beyonce, Rihanna, Ciara, etc.) should take notes on that performance. She really did kill it.

The moving was good...but her mouth wasn't lipping very well.

I didn't notice any problems with the lipping. The shots, for the most part, were not even close up.

Paula has never been known for her vocals. She's a dancer first and foremost. People didn't expect stellar vocals from her in the 80's, and they sure as hell don't expect it now. Paula has never shoved her singing career in contestants' faces as if she is a better singer. I don't really see the issue with her lip-syncing. It was supposed to be a fun performance, not a display of her vocal talents.

I think it's SLIGHTLY awkward that she didn't even attempt to sing as a judge of the biggest singing competition in the US. That said, I still agree with you and am not going to slam her for it because you're dead right, she has never been known for her vocals and never will be. Plus, she still knows what a good vocal should sound like, even if she is basically incapable of one without studio trickery. Her performance showcased her TRUE talent. I can't think of the last time I saw choreography that tight and at times, jaw-dropping. At certain points, I was thinking, "Whoa...Paula may really have to load up on the Percs after THAT gravity/death-defying move!" She needs to be Britney's choreographer or something.
