eddie has finished redoing his mix and it's been turned into her. clocks in at 10:55(4 seconds longer than the first mix which is funny bc the drop is shorter!) This is his "redone" mix? I love Eddie, but this is tragic and should never have left his studio.

The verse parts feel like they are from one mix and the choruses and instrumental parts feel like they are from another mix. And somehow they were combined into one track/mix.

There is a beautiful clean mix of this track on the newest issue of Ultimix. They added a pumped up bassline and although it is still low in BPMs, it moves along nicely.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that he apparently used a filtered acapella. I think that (at least) something to do with how awful his mix is.

I really don't understand the constant need for Eddie Baez to shift entire verses off by one beat. He did the same on one of his Alicia Keys Remixes and it sounds so odd, so unnatural, and so unnecessary. He's a very talented individual, and can produce some great work - but this unfortunately isn't one of them.

I didn't mind the Eddie Baez mix too much. Sometimes the vocal displacement trick works, but it doesn't really work here though.
I suppose I might like the mix better if he'd used the studio acappella of the album/single version. It's probably just me, but these vocals sound good and clear enough to have been alternate studio takes, but if it's true as was suggested that he used a filtered acappella, maybe the vocals were taken from a live performance somewhere?

eddie's mix isn't bad. i like how a lot of his recent mixes keep some of the original elements of the songs.

Just heard the Eddie's mix. It's not THAT bad like some people is saying, but it definately would sounds better with the studio acapella. Any idea why he used those live vocals?

Just heard the Eddie's mix. It's not THAT bad like some people is saying I agree. It's okay for the most part, and I love the song so much that it sounds great to me in any form. I don't think these vocals were "live"... they were probably alternate takes. I do agree, though that it lacks coherence. There's no one "theme" that continues throughout the whole song. I really don't understand the constant need for Eddie Baez to shift entire verses off by one beat. He did the same on one of his Alicia Keys Remixes and it sounds so odd, so unnatural, and so unnecessary. When it's done right, the result is effing amazing. Listen to the Guido Osario mix of Darren Hayes's "Pop!ular" The verse shifting works amazingly well there.

None of the official remixes did this song a justice... What a waste.
