Wow. Wasnt expecting the #5. Like this song tho, so congrats to her! I know, neither was I, but her digital sales are massive. I haven't seen another Country artist with this kind of huge digital push!

I haven't seen another Country artist with this kind of huge digital push! It makes sense though really. She's the only country artist in the world that appeals to the tween crowd, and they love to download and buy music. Ask Miley Cyrus and the Jo Bros.

I am really into this song right now. I hope they don't put a pop mix on this one.

I like Taylor a lot, but she barely has an ounce of Faith's talent.

I like Taylor a lot, but she barely has an ounce of Faith's talent. does faith write any of her songs? faith didnt even hit the scene til she was much older than taytay. i guess we'll have to let history decide. and remember, taylor's first hit was a song she wrote called "tim mcgraw" and faith is married to TIM MCGRAW! both ladies are both super tall(5'8 and 5'10) blondes as well BESIDES i was referring to faith being the last country star to really have a huge pop hit("breathe" mainly but also "this kiss" "the way you love me") DUH p.s. she is way more faith hillish than shaniaesque and i really dont count rimes as a hue crossover star other than "cant fight the moonlight" although she has had a lot of success with dance crossover for some reason. id like to see taylor have some proper remixes

^Rimes also had a little song called "How Do I Live" that peaked at #43 on the country chart, but was a big hit everywhere else and stayed on the Hot 100 for 69 weeks, longer than ANY other artist in history. If that's not a huge crossover star, I don't know what is.

And? Taylor has more talent because she wrote a song titled after Faith Hill's husband? I don't think so. Well, you didn't say that. DUH. As Firebolt basically said, LeAnn Rimes is the very definition of "crossover artist."

However, Leann's version was sent to pop and became a HUGE crossover hit for her. It peaked at #2 on the Hot 100, and stayed on the chart for 69 weeks. It helped her inspirational album (which featured an extended mix of the song) sell like hotcakes that year. The album hit #1, stayed in the top 5 for weeks and went on to become a multi-platinum record. If I remember correctly, it debut at #1 on the Billboard 200, Top Country Album and Top Contemporary Christian album charts at the same time. Indeed, Leann crossed over in a BIG way.

I actually like this a lot... though I can't see it having the success at pop that "Teardrops" or "Our Song" had... could sneak into the top 30 with the right promo though...

It may have too much of a country vibe to be successful at pop, but then, who knows. Before He Cheats was full on country and reached in the top 10 on pop!

It peaked at #9, no? It might have snuck in a day at #8. I agree with John, but I think it will only succeed if it gets remixed. That's what people expect from her now.

Because it already has over 50 spins right now on Pop with no pop remix out. Also, most pop stations played the normal version of "Our Song" and it's one of the top 50 most played songs on Pop this year.
