No, cause not every station that shows up on Quickcut reports to the mediabase panel.

There are IMO two reasons why TMOTF didn't take off. 1. They didn't send an edit since the original had a swear word 2. Their performance on SYTYCD could have saved it but it was the day MJ died. Both wrong. You think radio is going to b***h about one word? I don't think Michael Jackson had anything to do with "Take Me On The Floor" flopping. The song was already on its way out when he died. You're both right. 1. The edit doesn't matter to some stations, but to a lot, they're not going to play the original version either. Take "Hot N Cold" for example, it had the same word, "bitch," in the song. Most stations I listened to played the edited version, however, I did hear it on a few that did not play the edit. It depends on the population of kids, the time of day, etc. 2. Their performance needed to be a few weeks earlier. The song was already negative when they performed. The performance could've of well saved it. Especially digitally. However, with Michael Jackson's death being of the same day, most people were watching the news rather than So You Think You Can Dance. So the number of viewers went down. Not to mention the number of people who flocked to iTunes to download Jackson's catalog of music, which could've also hurt "Take Me on the Floor"'s digital performance as people were choosing to spend their money on Jackson's material rather than The Veronicas' latest single. So really, we can conclude that there were a bunch of factors that concluded to "Take Me on the Floor"'s death. It wasn't one thing. It was more of bad handling and timing. If only the promotion has been done back in April, rather than June, "Take Me on the Floor" could've at least made it to the top 25 on Mediabase.

I like both, but the original is more polished.

I can't tell the difference and I've tried to find something new 2904901 times on the 2009 version.

On the new version they just re-recorded the new vocals over the old backing track. The background vocals are the same. I hear it, although it's not really that big of a difference.
Doesn't seem like there was much of a point to it really. If they were gonna re-record it they should have really put new ad-libs and some more high notes in it.

There were some changes to the beat though. Mainly in the intro and the bridge.

Those are two valid reasons. Not many stations WANT to play a song with vulgar language see Hot N Cold. I mean its not that far fetched...

^Don't pay attention to him. He's one of those people who go around posting negative comments everywhere.
On a lighter note, I found another reason to LOVE Ke$ha! She helped write "This Love"!
Damn, she's awesome! Everything she touches I love. That's one of the best songs from Hook Me Up. I wish it were released as the third single over this. I think it could've done well.

I'm sure 'This Love' would've done better than TMOTF.

I purchased the 2009 just moments ago. Played it right before the original. It's fun picking out the differences!

I don't like the new version as much, and if this does take off I wish it would be the original. They're basically the same, except the girls sound like heavy smokers on the verses of the new one.

iTunes has a glitch at the moment (at least I think with all these sudden drops and jumps), but we can celebrate this: 614. 4ever 2009 - The Veronicas This may or may not be correct! Edit: My suspicions were correct. iTunes is back to normal, and it's once again nowhere to be found.
