Great song….but I don’t know about this re-release. The label was solidly behind the song originally and it didn’t take off. Not exactly sure why they think re-releasing now is going to change anyone’s opinion. I hope it does though

Nobody heard it to have an opinion in the first place - it never really had a shot.... Audience was at 2 mil during it's peak with mostly night spins. It's called 4th quarter / Warner / new group.....

Nobody heard it to have an opinion in the first place - it never really had a shot.... Audience was at 2 mil during it's peak with mostly night spins. It's called 4th quarter / Warner / new group..... When I was talking about opinions, I meant radio programmers, not listeners. I see your point though, it could have got lost in the barrage of 4th Quarter releases. I know it was added to one of the local Top 40 Stations here in Buffalo NY. (CKEY) Not sure how well it stuck though as it fell off the playlist a couple of weeks later. I’ve played it at the last few teenage dances I have worked and the response has been lukewarm. I know a few kids were curious about it, but nothing major. I think if the teenage girls really listened to the lyrics, they would fall in love with the song. Once that happens, then the moms start to come on board. Then you have a Top 40 hit. LOL

Yeah. And apparantly the CD will be released tomorrow.
I might possibly pick it up if it's in the store and cheap, since I'll be there buying Grey's Anatomy on DVD anyway.

Yes, they're from Brisbane.
It's #67 on CHR/Pop with a +11 bullet or something. I'm disappointed this is not doing that well.

This isn't listed on R&R as going for adds this week. If they expect this to make any kind of impact at CHR, they can't afford to push 4Ever off anymore.

Yeah, I don't think this is going anywhere on the re-release.
This group was reviewed in the paper today. Overall it was a mediocre review, but they really slammed the group for targeting 8-12 year olds on one hand, and being twins singing "I want to spend the night with you" to each other on the other. Heh.

What's wrong with "I want to spend the night with you"? has the reviewer heard any music on the radio in the past 10 years?

What's wrong with "I want to spend the night with you"? has the reviewer heard any music on the radio in the past 10 years? true. If they were purposely aiming for the tween market though, I could see how that could be slightly risque. Radio Disney would probably want an alternate lyric edit. But for me the point is moot since I don't exactly see how the Veronicas are targeting 8 year olds, other than the ones that are already allowed to listen to pop radio and are into that type of music.

The paper (this isn't my opinion, just found it interesting) mentioned that they were doing some promotion with Archie comics, which are supposedly targeted to that age group.

In my mind, when you spend the night with somone you're not having pillow fights, like they like to say.. right? The have pillow fights? That's what made me think they we like 10, then hearing they're like 20 shocked the hell out of me. lol
It's a good song, but it's not really ear catching. Plus the twins arn't that known. No tv, no tours (except Ryan Cabrarra, which isn't high profile, millions of dollars tour)...Nobody but the TRL audience has really heard of them.

Our local Pop critic called them "The Incestuous TATU" and he said "What are these girls thinking?". I got mad because I LOVE the CD. And our local station gave it a spin today. Needless to say it was back with "Check On It", so I'm sure some people heard it and turned it off.
Still top 15 on my personal chart. But they need to move on and realease the next single.

Heh. That is beyond pathetic! Firstly, they're not targeting the tweens. Also, they're not singing a duet to eachother about how they want to spend the night together.... gosh how lame can you get? Talk about missing the point.
