I used to love this R&B song in the mid 90's. It did well on the Urban charts, I can't remember where it peaked. I'm sure it went to #1.
But it peaked at #20 on CHR, and had some longevity, it lasted 20 weeks in the top 40.
Groove Theory was a New York based duo consisting of the gorgeous Amel Larrieux who decided to pursue a solo R&B career and the handsome Bryce Wilson (currently the host of the hiphop telemagazine show 'Weekend Vibe').

The Billboard Hot 100: #5 Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks: #3
Great song! The whole album is great. My favorite track on it is "10 Minute High". Amel Larrieux is releasing her sophomore album soon, titled "Bravebird". I'm not as interested in her as a solo artist. She's kind of boring.

I didn't find anything special about this song or the group for that matter. They sounded like every other R&B group out around that time. The song did peak at #8 on my chart though.

Great track from the group. I wish that they would have done more tracks like that then maybe they would have had longevity and then Amel could have left the group to pursue solo efforts.

Amazing! It's so good that a Radio Disney group is covering it! "Tell Me What You Want To Do"
I heard the remake at KMKY's Jingle Jam in December where I met Myra. When I realized it was a "remake," I was shocked. Then I noticed the altered lyrics.

This is such a great, unassuming song. The first few times you hear it, it doesn't leave much of an impression, except that you notice the strong groove. Then after that, it starts sticking with you.
God, songs like this are the epitome of VH1 Soul (which was a weekly hour-long program before it became its own digital cable channel).

The era of great R&B tracks! Bring back the early/mid '90s urban sound!

What a great track. I loved their follow-up singles as well. Too bad they broke up so quickly, they showed promise.

Great song! Just got the album a few months ago, haven't listened to it much yet.
I also liked "4 Sure" or however it was spelled in 2000 with the other vocalist.

This is one of my favorite songs EVER. I adore Amel Larrieux's voice to pieces. What a great chill-out song. So simple, yet so enjoyable.

It was ok to me at first but I grew to like it in the end. Not one of the more memorable tracks of 1995 but still great to listen to.

I love this song just as much as I did when it first came out. Amel's voice is just so chill. Again, late 80's -mid 90's R&B is second in quality only to that of the 70's.

This is a great song. It still sounds so fresh even today. It just feels like the kind of song you want to play in your car with the windows down and the volume turned up.
