I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this song! I heard it for the first time yesterday and I have jammin to it ever since!Β Its really good old school r&b.Β She has a pretty decent voice.Β It sounds odd hearing this voice and hearing her voice from her tv show "a different world."Β She has a smokey sound to her voice....it kind of reminds me of Brandy but huskier and a bit stronger. If you love r&b from the late 80's/ early 90's then you will love this! s11.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=7F15D067E34E90F78AE92FD3AC689A6AThanks for the link!!!Β ;)

Good song I bought the cassette single when it hit the airplay top 40! James Ingram was of great help on the vocals.

Great song. I'm surprised Jasmine didn't do much singing after this album.
Is she still doing CHICAGO, the musical?

An excellent song with a very positive message. It charted in the fall of 1991. 39-36-34-34-40. I have it on vinyl 45.

Is that Whitley from "A Different World"? I sort of remember Rick Dees interviewing her.

It's funny that i came across this thread...i keep a blog on my myspace page, and i have a segment called "Ol' Skool Jam of the Day", and i posted the video for this song as the jam of the day about a week ago. This was my favorite song from the album, and is actually one of my favorites of all time. If u like 80's and 90's r&b, check out my blog...i like to post older obscure songs that that many have forgotten about....it's www.myspace.com/jsull81079.

I remember when Rick Dees interviewed her. I hardly recognized her without the big old accent. :)

The audience at San Francisco's KMEL Summer Jam 1991 were lucky enough to see Jasmine Guy perform her material with a live band in a rare performance.

Really like this but my jam from that album was Another Like My Lover. Was always surprised that it stalled in the 60's on the Hot 100 since it's more poppy than this cut.....

It's OK. Always thought she was a better actress than singer.
Hit #27 R&B and #34 Pop in 1991. Features James Ingram.

Yeah. This didn't go anywhere near the Top 10 on the R&B chart. Her sole Top 10 on that chart was "Another Like My Lover" (#9). This was her sole CHR/Pop entry though.
This is my favorite of her singles. I love this style of 80s/early 90s quiet storm ballad.
