Easily my favorite of the 9 singles from the Bad album. It's kind of a weird song, 'cause its got a funky bassline yet sounds really adult contemporary at the same time. His vocals are really on-point, and so is the choreography from the video and live performances. The video is completely hilarious: MJ wearing a white sash around his waist and trying to be all thugged out to impress this girl. Laughable... In the vid, you've got a group of guys harrassing a woman in an alley. Kinda creepy and inappropriate when you think about it, huh? US: #1 US R&B: #1 UK: #3 Ger: #12 Fr: #29 Japan: #92 Aus: #5 (Remember the performance of this song with Britney Spears on his 30th Anniversary TV special? Heh, she looked hot for sure. But MJ sang circles around her.)

I love it. It's definitely one of my favorites from Michael Jackson; it's in my top three from him actually.

In the video, some of Michael's dance moves appear as if he's grabbing his crotch.

This song is one of my favorite MJ's creation. Nobody does it better than MJ. When someone imitates MJ style of singing, it will turn out to be a disaster. ________ Pet Lover

If someone attempts this on Idol tomorrow night, I hope it's someone who's up to the task

Excellent track. Definitely one of my favorites from him along with "Billy Jean" and "Man in the Mirror."

This was one of the 2 singles from BAD I didn't like (the other being 'Just Can't Stop loving You') I can tolerate now more than I did- I admit, it sounds amazingly current and could be a hit released in today's market) But I didn't like the video or the song- but it was incredibly popular.

Love this, my favorite from the Bad album.
Sister LaToya has a cameo in the video.

Sister LaToya has a cameo in the video. Highlight of her career no doubt. Anyway, one of my favorite 80s MJ songs.

This is probably my favorite song from him. That beat is ridiculously catchy and it's just such a fun song filled with energy and excitement.

Great song. Stevie Wonder performed a cover of this when I saw him at the 2011 Austin City Limits festival.

Sign o' the times, but should probably be restricted now. The song is a real jam, though. It's when Michael's music still had a real sense of fun.

Iconic song, iconic video, especially love the ending when they dance after the fire hydrants go off. And La Toya!!!
Pretty thankful this video was made in the 80’s because I absolutely love it. I have a feeling this iconic video would not fly in todays’s climate considering the sensitivity surrounding sexual harassment.

Not sure how this relates since this is a fictional music video but I agree with you; I hope people don’t accept predators in general, male and female!

Correct. Hopefully people are no longer accepting of male predators. Not sure how this relates since this is a fictional music video but I agree with you; I hope people don’t accept predators in general, male and female! In the video MJ is stalking a female walking alone at night. She continually tries to get away from him, yet at one point he even details her physically, no? It may be fiction, but it celebrates a male harassing and even assaulting a woman. I realize when it was made people weren't as sensitive to those issues as we are now, but that doesn't mean the video needs to be praised now. The song is still killer, though.

We don’t have to zap the fun out of everything though, do we? The video was fun then and it’s fun now. Sure if this was a real life situation with a different ending, it wouldn’t be fun but they’re dancing in the street for Christ’s sake. Theres’s so many current movies, video games, books that depict real life sexual assault, violence, murder, etc— this is NOT one of them.
