A surprise domestic and international hit back in 1999 and simply a bloody awesome song. Yea, I know it's girly, but the song had such simplicity that it appealed to all ages. It was first featured in the She's All That movie and it captured my attention right away. I remember I spent weeks pining over that song after watching the movie and praying that y100 would play it someday (that was during the pre-internet and downloading era of my life). I literally died of ecstasy when I heard it on that station one sunny afternoon in March of '99, and soon went on to buy the single. If anybody remembers, there were actually two videos made for this song: the most famous one is the one made for the movie in which all the band members are sitting on a bench and Leigh Nash is wearing a blue dress with combat boots, but there's also a different one which I'm guessing was the original video shot for the song back in '95. It's in black and white and shows Leigh Nash wearing a parisian hat and running all around the town with Matt Slocum. VH1 played it once.

Love it. So quietly beautiful.
the black & White video is the one that always gets played here in the UK.

I like it a lot, was a She's All That soundtrack released? I remember when I loved that movie that I looked everywhere for one but couldn't find it. Great music in that movie. :)

I liked it when it first came out. Then it got old fast, now I can't seem to make myself like it again.

Well, while it was out, I thought it was good but it got old really fast and even annoying to me. I remember this song and "The Animal Song" were battling up the pop chart at the same time to try to nab a tough top 10 spot.
I like hearing it now from time to time though! :)

#1 Australia
I loved it... it's very sweet and it will always bring me back to that certain time in my life when it was out. It reminds me of Dawson's Creek too 'cos they played it on the ad's here.
They only play the colour video over here.

It spent 10 weeks at #1 on my chart and was my top song of 1999.

It reminds me of Dawson's Creek too 'cos they played it on the ad's here. I bought the DC album because it had the radio edit of "Kiss Me".

Hot 'The Young And The Restless' SMASH! As mentioned about songs that were featured on television on the US Music Survey this week.

Great song but as the years went by like all music it gets played less and less. But i was ecstatic to see it was a top 5 hit of 1999. Once again great song.

I never cared for the band but this was a great song. Their follow-up, "There She Goes" which was a remake, was not bad either.

Great song... maybe got a tad too much airplay out here, but not to the point of real burn for me...

The remakes of "There She Goes" and "Don't Dream It's Over" (that one from 2003) were better. Never really cared for this.

Decent song. A shame they fell off the face of the Earth. "Breathe Your Name" was a pretty cool song.

This was my #4 song of 1999. I remember being really surprised with how fast it was moving up AT20 and eventually how long it lasted. I'm with Slinky though, "Breathe Your Name" was a better and I was really disappointed that it didn't hit. Leigh was pretty cute though.
