This song is really a classic of the 90's. I love it and would probably put it in my Top 100 of all time.

I love this song. Adina can really turn that out in her debut. And you are right on af18c. Freak Like Me was released early spring of 1995. Speaking of being freaky, let's fast-forward to three years later. She released a song that was played in selected stations back in '98-'99 called T-Shirt and Panties with actor/comedian Jamie Foxx doing the opening dialogue talking to Adina. The thought of that song then made me realize as a radio personality that it was too hot for radio and that if I played it, the GM would fire me. At another station I later worked for (and it was urban), I did manage to get away with it without no complaints. ;)

I have loved this song from the moment it came out. It spent two weeks at the top of my personal chart. I really haven't heard anything else from Adina since. Which is a shame. She had a promising career back in 95.

Was there a dog barking in this song or was it just Adina?

Does anybody remember this song? Peaked at #2 on both the Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop singles & tracks. It was a toal summer jam back in '95!

I just heard it a couple of months ago for the first time. I like it. They play it on Energy 92.7 every day.

I loved this song. It's funny how after even 1 real hit, 10 years later Adina Howard is still remembered. A testament to the punch of the song I guess, but I thought it peaked at #1 on the Hot 100?

"The Second Coming" was a great album, released last year. The single "Nasty Grind" was great as well. It was only played late night on BET Midnight Love

One of my favorite songs from '95. I had a big poster of her up in my locker (it looked like the album cover); you couldn't tell me jack! I loved the whole album (especially the interludes/skits, they were ghetto & funny as hell). JAM!!

Awesome song, Unfortunately, though, I hear the Sugababes version much more often. The original is classic.

You know something....I'm SOOO glad that T-Shirt And Panties did not chart (except in several selected near-risque urbans), therefore I could be wrong.

Sugababes made this infinitely better, but it's great on its own
