This is an absolute disco classic! A #1 Club hit in 1979, though sadly it didn't cross over. It was taken to UK #1 by Take That in the 90s. The best bit of this song is Loleatta's SCREAMING guest vocal about two thirds through. Nobody screams like that woman! "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGH! You gotta be STRONG enough to walk on through the night!"

I remember back in the early '80s seeing a local commercial that used the instrumental from "Relight My Fire"... I think it was an appliance store.
Anyway, great song!

I love it. I prefer it coupled with "Vertigo" (the album version, I'd say?), as it provides a brilliant buildup.
