Fantastic ballad originally made popular by The Dramatics in 1972.
Hot 100: #5 Black Singles: #1
Keith Sweat covered it in 1987. Then Xscape covered it in 1997.
My favorite version is probably Keith Sweat's but this is such a brilliant ballad, it's hard not to do a good version as long as you've got some vocal talent.

I miss hearing this on my Urban AC stations. This was played quite a bit growing up. I go enjoy Keith Sweat's version as well.

I never knew that this was their song. Always thought it was Keith Sweat's, whose version I love and prefer way more, btw. This one is nice, too.
