This song was obviously modeled after Jimmie Walker's JJ role on Good Times with the famous catch phrase that was heard all over (sorry, Jimmie Walker wasn't included in the song :(). This semi-vocal/but instrumental classic went to #10/pop.

wow u are on the game CC!! i would never have courage to post a thread on this song, because I quite frankly almost forgot about it. It did absolutely nothing here in NY on top 40 WXLO, and i think WABC which was worse probably didnt play it either, but yeah this was a classic which i only heard weekly during its slow climb up AT40. from summer 1975 i believe.
do you remember "7-6-5-4-3-2-1 (blow your whistle)" by gary toms empire, or "le spank" by le pamplemousse (spelling is wrong) as well? those were like minded jams in and around this time, maybe 2 years later.

Funny that you mentioned that, stevie. In fact I DO remember that song. Growing up in Texas, at 9 years old, I listen to that many times on KZEY-AM 690. That brings me way back. I cannot help but to say..that is the $#*!!. Talk about a hell of a flashback
