Teddy Pendergrass got his start with this group. "The Love I Lost" was released in 1973. I love this song. It's a great ballad over an upbeat instrumental.

Sybil did a good cover of this in the early 90's. It was a huge UK hit.

Good song... I remember hearing it a lot in the early '90s on the radio (they did a Saturday Night '70s show).

Often heard this as an old school cut on WGCI, V103, and defunct Jammin' Oldies 103.5 when I was younger. Think this was my favorite from Harold Melvin/Teddy Pendergrass although "Bad Luck" is just as good. the love i lost www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1UkbZebiXQ
