I still need to get Trust Me, but I really like "Insomnia." I might have to consider this if it gets a release here at some point.

I have forgotten all about Craig David. The only CD I have is his 2nd one which came out in 2002. I have not heard from him since then.

They should release "Insomnia" in the United States given the recent dance craze and promote this as the lead single from a Trust Me re-release if it takes off. If any of his singles over the past several years could get him back on radio, this is the one. There's no point in releasing a greatest hits here though. He only has two hits. The label is likely releasing this because they're done with him though, so I don't see them doing that.

"Insomnia" is #72 at CHR/Pop radio with a triple digit bullet.

I noticed that too. It's almost disturbing, as if they hired a lookalike or something.

Loved Insomnia and that album cover! He's like a better looking Lloyd Banks now lol. Wished the gem ballad Never Should've Walked Away was on this release though as a bonus, though.

Craig David Goes Motown For New Album “Signed, Sealed, Delivered”February 14th, 2010 by Jayvee It’s been almost a decade since British R&B singer Craig David found mainstream success here in the U.S. in 2000 with his break out hit “Fill Me In.” The song quickly climbed the album chart with it’s unique “two-step” sound and had quite a few of pop music’s chart toppers at the time copying his trademark sound and name-checking him in interviews including Justin Timberlake and the boys of NSYNC (“Two of Us“). While David’s star faded quickly here in the U.S. he went on to enjoy commercial success in his native U.K.. Well, now he’s back and hoping lightening can strike twice here in the U.S. with his fifth studio. The album, aptly titled Signed Sealed Delivered, is filled with Motown covers and samples with a modern twist. Check out the recently leaked album sampler featuring 6 tracks off the record below. Sampler includes: “One More Lie,” “Signed Sealed Delivered,” “All Alone Tonight,” “For Once in My Life,” “Just My Imagination,” and “I Heard it Through the Grapevine.” So far, I’m not digging his take at Stevie Wonder’s classic “Signed Sealed Delivered,” but his take on the Temptations‘ “Just My Imagination,” is silky smooth.

From the sampler, I like his interpretations of Stop, Look, Listen (To Your Heart) and Just My Imagination.

Topless Craig strips off for AttitudeBy NADIA MENDOZA Published: 09 Apr 2010 CRAIG DAVID has stripped off to pose topless on the front cover of Attitude Active. What a shame for The Sun ladies he didn't do the same thing when he dropped in for a Biz Session last month. The Fill Me In singer will surely shift some extra albums after showing off his impressive abs. His washboard stomach looks harder than RAY WINSTONE's face. Craig has made a chart comeback after a two-year hiatus - with new album Signed Sealed Delivered. Attitude is also on racks now.

COSMO MAG:Video Interview: www.cosmopolitan.co.uk/men/sexy-craig-david-picture-interview/v1Behind The Scenes: www.craigdavid.com/news/watch-craig-behind-the-scenes-at-his-cosmo-centrefold-shootPics: What music do you like to listen to in bed?"Right now I'm really into Kings of Leon, I love them- from Sex on Fire to Use Somebody. On the flipside, there's an artist called Tank, he's an American artist, and he's really good - very good voice, very soulful vocals. Good to listen to in bed." What's the first thing you do in the morning?"I pretty much get straight into my shorts and trainers and get on my running machine. I have to do it first thing - I can't think about it. I find when I do that and get past the first 10 minutes of being in dream land; it works out well because I start the day off on the right foot." Do you have any strange morning rituals?"I have a hot shower in the morning and I have this thing where I have to turn it onto cold before I get out - it's not a superstitious thing, I've just been doing it for years. The thing is, it's freezing outside when you come out of a hot shower, so I think when I put it to cold, you're always guaranteed to get a little warmth when you get out. I think that's the method behind the madness." Where's your favourite place in world to wake up?"I bought a beautiful apartment in Miami and when I wake up there, I look out over such a beautiful view which I'm very, very lucky to have. It's paradise." Who would be your favourite person in the world to wake up next to?"Waking up next to Charlize Theron wouldn't be a bad look. To be honest, I've had a crush on her since the first film I saw her in Devil's Advocate." What should a woman wear to bed to turn you on?"Some nice sexy lingerie always goes down a storm. Someone who can rock that sexy lingerie kind of look - I think the slight reveal is what makes it sexier. But clothes on rather than her being completely naked because I think that's too obvious. But, to be honest, it's not really my choice. Whatever you want to wear, you wear."

George P, I like how you are tryna keep everyone up-to-date on Craig David, keep it up. :) I am a massive Craig David fan and I am really looking forward to his new album, I hope he really smashes it cause I know he is capable of it.
Every album he has delivered at least 3 top quality songs, but for me "Born To Do It" and "The Story Goes..." are the 2 standout albums. "Trust Me" and "Signed Sealed Delivered" have been a let down (but they were still decent), but I still believe he can make another great album. Its really sad that TSG did not get released in the US cause it was one of his best albums.
Anyway all I wanna add is that it is possible that he is looking to release his next album in the US, from the following story.

Yeah, I would've thought TSG would get a US release. Strange how it didn't, but then Trust Me did, and then neither his Greatest Hits or SSD releases.

Yeah, I would've thought TSG would get a US release. Strange how it didn't, but then Trust Me did, and then neither his Greatest Hits or SSD releases. Yeah, He said in an interview that the reason TSG wasn't released in the US was cause of the label. They said they didn't know how to market and promote it as they felt he had no clear lead single to market it. They wanted him to go in with some producers and stuff and add a few more songs to it for the US release, but he didn't wanna do that (as it was a very personal album to him), and for some reason the whole idea of US release was scrapped. I don't get why they still didn't release it, doing the same things as they did in the UK. They had 5 singles planned out; All The Way, Don't Love You No More, Hypnotic, Johnny, and Unbelieveable. Also, they had My Love Dont Stop, and they even could have sent Take Em Off to Urban. Plus I also love Seperate Ways and Theif in the Night. Below is a great article, worth reading it all, but I just put the relevant part regarding TSGblogcritics.org/music/article/a-conversation-with-british-rb-artist/ I really admire him for standing up for what he believed in, but its unbelievable that it was scrapped because if this reason, without them even trying at all. It also really frustrating because it ruined the momentum he had in the US. Trust Me was released 5 years after Slicker Than Your Average, so alot of people are gonna forget about you if you are gone that long, and if you hardly do any promotion. Also, in reply to what you said, I can understand why his Greatest Hits wasn't released in the US, as he hasn't had many "HITS" in the US and most of the people that know him, only know him for 2 albums, which is hardly any reason for a Greatest Hits. Also, SSD was mainly a covers album which didn't do particularly well worldwide so was unlikley to do so in the US and it would hardly be a big comeback album. I think it would be a good idea to release an albums worth of stuff from TSG, TM, GH and SSD, as a way of re-introducing him to the US prior to his next album. Including all his singles plus some album/fan favorites, including ones from TSG that I have already mentioned, Kinda Girl For Me from TM and I Wonder Why from SSD. This I think might be unlikley to even happen with him being on different labels for some of those albums, plus from what I understand he is again changing labels after leaving Universal Motown since SSD. Yeah, anyway... really looking forward to the next album, hopefully no to long left till he finishes it, looks like it will be either late this year or early next year. My goodness he's turned out gorgeous. I really like his voice and quite a few of his songs, so I'm excited for this. I loooove Craig David. He has the smoothest voice. I hope he is able to get something else released here. He has so many good songs. Yeah, totally agree, he has toooooo many good songs, for every single he has released (like 20 or so), he has just as many great album songs. If someone told me to give then my top 5 of his songs I couldn't narrow it down to so few, it would have to be more like a top 20 (and it would be a great list). :) :) Im not from the US, so I have a question to those in the US: How many people actually remember the name Craig David? Does he still have a big following there? Also, how many have followed his career even though he hasn't released anything there for a long time?

I would think Craig David doesn't have much of a following here at all. But, I've always liked him.
