LOVE this. I do think the third single should have been FM.. But here's to another smash!

Just listened to 'I Will Be' and 'Forgive Me' for the first time.
The Bad News (IMO): FM should have absolutely been the 3rd single in the US. I like it a lot, it's very catchy, and it's upbeat! It's been said by others before, but 3 ballads in a row is boring. FM may have underperformed in Europe, but it sounds tailor-made to appeal to Americans.
The Good News (again, IMO): IWB is an excellent ballad. As always, Leona's voice is fantastic. And it's a good song overall. I think it's too good to flop. Should go Top 10 easily.
Conclusion: The fact that IWB a third ballad in a row will probably keep it from reaching #1. I mean, we've got yet another excellent ballad from Leona Lewis. Okay, but we've already established that Leona has an amazing voice and that she sings really catchy ballads. It's hard for me (and perhaps the majority of radio-listeners) to really get excited about IWB at this time. I think many radio-listeners in the US would be surprised to hear FM because it's a Leona Lewis song that's catchy and upbeat. That, IMO, would create more of a buzz around Leona and her album.
Time will tell. Leona and the label have chosen IWB over FM, so I will support it. This will in all likelihood be the last time I say that FM should have been released instead. (Unless, of course, IWB flops somehow.)

I was agaist the idea of this as a sing at all but now i'm excited to see how it does. I can see beutiful video of the song in the snow. Perfect winter song. Its so hard to predict where it will go. I say top 5 hot 100. The genral public will probably like this song for there wedings and will probably get high downloads. I reckon radio would play it a lot has filler song.

Beautiful song, but I don't see this blowing up on pop. First of all, it's her third ballad in a row. Secondly, the song doesn't have the syncopation that pop radio is (annoyingly) fond of right now.

Beyonce has just been talking about Leona in a radio interview, she said she had "the voice of an angel". :)

They are absolutely insane to not release FM and TAB. These songs are made to be singles whereas I Will Be should remain an album highlight.

Plus RiRi already has a #1 Pop Hit THIS YEAR with the same name. FORGIVE ME is UK TRASH, and should never see the light of day in America. I WILL BE is that epic song people will be singing decades from now at weddings. Can't wait!

Beyonce doesn't owe anything to Leona. Halo is/was Ryan Tedder's song, not Leona's. It was his decision to give it to Beyonce and I, personally am glad he did so as her rendition is breathtaking.

But Tedder stated that it was specifically created for Leona. The only reason Bey got it is because he didn't want to hold it a year for Leona's sophomore album. So Beyonce should be grateful to Leona that she inspired Tedder to make such a huge hit that he may not have otherwise made. And I still think Leona's version would blow Beyonce's away if we ever get to hear it, but yes Beyonce does do a very good job though with it.

I understand that it was considered for Leona as well (even first) but that still doesn't justify the idea that Beyonce owes anything to Leona. Plans change all the time, this isn't the first time a huge hit was given to a different artist than originally planned.

He said the way the song is sung and some of the lyrics were done with Leona specifically in mind. It was an interview with him,. bu I honestly can't remember where it was from. I'm just saying Beyonce lucked out, and I think she's owes a little to Leona when that song becomes the smash it's destined to, but of course she really owes Ryan Tedder BIG time.

Yes, I agree with you on that. Beyonce owes Leona, in any way? No. Both of them owe Ryan big time, Leona for Bleeding Love and Beyonce for Halo.

This is a surprise. Not a bad choice, but I don't know how American radio will receive another Leona ballad - a ballad that's just mediocre to begin with.

I absolutely love this song but I'll echo the general sentiments here that 3 samey-type of ballads in a row may not be the best idea. I have a feeling she may be pigeonheld as strictly a ballad singer which may make embracing an upbeat song from her a bit tougher. Regardless, I wanted this as a single at some point anyway so I'm happy it's getting a chance. I actually found this song incredibly dull until I listened to it enough times for it to grow on me and now I regard it as one of her best songs. I hope we get a better video than "Better In Time" at least.

Please tell me this is a joke. I do not want to hear another damn ballad from Leona over the airwaves!! They have a great uptempo in their hands so I don't understand why they won't release it. IMO Forgive Me is 100x better than IWB (at least in terms of what will work for her right now). Hopefully they change their minds since it is about 2 months away.

I WILL BE is that epic song people will be singing decades from now at weddings. Can't wait! That's so not the way it is though. It doesn't matter about titles, as long as Leona's Take A Bow gets played people will download it and it'd be a hit. Take A Bow also is a song that puts Leona in the same league as Beyoncé and Rihanna and all the other pop divas. People say it's overrated but it's edgy and sounds like an instant hit. And I don't know how you can call Forgive Me UK trash; especially when it was only on the American release and produced by Akon. Songs like this make Leona sound like a current pop star, rather than someone who has one decent song and album full of generic ballads, which is what I Will Be will do.

... Didn't she record 'Forgive Me' just for the US? So now the label is abandoning it? I like this song but Avril's version is better. Leona has a better voice but there's no emotions in her interpretion of it. She sounds like a robot.

I like this, but IDK about a single. But also, I do enjoy Avril's more. Whatever It Takes should be released! I wish The Best You Never Had was on the Us edition, I would love for it to be a single too lol.

I don't think Avril's version is better, but it is not bad either. Her voice is nowhere as good as Leona but I do like her interpretation of the song too.

another ballad? ZZZZZZZ! BORING! this is beautiful and a album highlight but they should have gone with "Take A Bow" or "Forgive Me", 3 ballads in a row is utterly ridiculous.

another ballad? I hope it flops. Leona is the dullest pop star out atm.
