^^ Weren't they contractually obligated to release IWB due to some deal with Avril? Or am I making that up in my head? I seriously crack up everytime I hear this nonsense. Hey, I read it in here.

-20 spins -20 bullet (?)
People are trying to make some sense of why this was released as a single so they come up with far fetched theories. Can't blame them though as there really is no logical explanation.

Well that was a crappy performance...Why wasn't this the SECOND single again? I don't understand why a filler track that was accidentally released can go top 10 but this can't???

Nooo get that bullet back!
I hope the label is now regretting their poor decision not to release 'Run'.

"Run" wouldn't have been a better choice. The 'fans' may think that, but largely its those without biases on the artist who would make the better judge, and "I Will Be" has more hit potential than that snoozy cover.

What a disaster they've made since 'BIT'. Firstly, we got this as a third single. Then they re-released the album with no incentive to buy it. Finally, Leona got snubbed hard at the Grammys.

This was always a ridiculous choice.
Hopefully her label has learnt not to release s**t and expect it to do well.
Take A Bow/Forgive Me/Run - any of those would have been perfect

This was always a ridiculous choice. Hopefully her label has learnt not to release s**t and expect it to do well. Take A Bow/Forgive Me/Run - any of those would have been perfect +1 The thing is I doubt they have learned anything, with Better in Time there were warning signs already that people are getting bored of her ballads, what do they do ? release yet another ballad, a bland song with no edge or character that should've remained an album track. "Run" wouldn't have been a better choice. The 'fans' may think that, but largely its those without biases on the artist who would make the better judge, and "I Will Be" has more hit potential than that snoozy cover. Normally I would agree that those without "biases" make a better judge but then you say this: "well that was a crappy performance...Why wasn't this the SECOND single again? I don't understand why a filler track that was accidentally released can go top 10 but this can't???" Better in Time is not a filler track ???...this is a filler track (well, maybe that's too harsh..an album track). Run wouldn't have set the charts on fire but looking back now I'm fairly sure it would've done better than this. At least the Deluxe edition would get a boost. Forgive Me should've been the second single to break up the ballads, then Better in Time, and now they should've been pushing either Take A Bow or a dual release Take A Bow/Run. They still can and should go with a dual release Take A Bow and Forgive Me. Release Take A Bow to Pop and Forgive Me to rhytmic.

My station never even had a chance to bump this up to daytime rotation.
I'm sure she'll do better next time.

So do artists have a group of people who decide what to release next? And then they monitor how it's doing? I know these questions sound nooby but I have no idea how it works.

LOL, Better in Time went top 3, and this is stalling in the 20s....yet THIS should've been the second single? ??? How does that make any sense?
Anyway, they need to pump out something new. Unless a miracle occurs, this is done. And her career is not over because ONE of her songs didn't do well....lol. Come on. People here are so dramatic.

Its a shame we can't re-do this era :( I think everything would've been fine if "Forgive Me" had been released 2nd.
