We're on about the US charts... other wise your initial comment is wrong as "If I Were A Boy" is more successful world wide.

Stop trying to discredit something that most people find amazing. Yes Andyk. 'Most people' find this amazing. So you MUST like it. W/e Im not the one being delusional claiming that SL is mediocore and that the video single handily brought it success. People love the song, believe it has a great tune, so I dont see the point in trying to discredit it.

I still think they're releasing this too early. "Single Ladies" could make it to #1 --- if only they'll be willing to wait it out.

And the theory that the video helped "Single Ladies" out a lot is quite a popular one, it's not just him trying to discredit the song.

People love the song, believe it has a great tune, so I dont see the point in trying to discredit it. The majority of people I know hate SL. It's a gimmick, just as IKAG was. It doesn't surprise me that many people find this song to be mediocre. I, for one, think that's an overstatement. We're on about the US charts... other wise your initial comment is wrong as "If I Were A Boy" is more successful world wide. IIAWB was very successfull WW.. In fact, he was supporting it. It's a big WW hit. Note: I am not a Beyonce "hayter", so don't even go there.

A song is usually only overrated if
a) Alot of ppl like it or; b) A few ppl claim its the next big thing and these responses stick out
In this case I'd say it's b cuz judging from this thread most people think this song is only average and or/mediocore at best. So I would actually say this song is UNDERrated (judging from the responses in this thread).

I love this song, but I don't think it's going to be a huge hit at all. I predict a #16 peak at pop.

I like this, but I doubt it will be as big as "Single Ladies," let alone "Irreplaceable". I can't really think of a word to describe it, but this is maybe a little too dramatic and over the top.

This song is incredibly overrated. I think it has a good shot at hitting #1 but I don't see it dominating.

her voice can be kinda annoying on the second verse
but I think this song is loads better than IIWAB
this could be a hit but I think the hugest song ever is really pushing it
I can see this going top 5 but maybe at the slightest chance number 1
It all depends how SL does but they arent really letting the song have its run

Btw has anyone heard this on the radio yet? Do they use the same edit as in the video? (ie. shorter version)

well, we all know that this one is the most hyped track of this era because of Ryan Tedder so it might have been disappointing some of uguys. but that doesn't mean it's bad, lame or something, right? this is great (or 'good' at least) Beyonce track and everything works great for her right now. she's getting every support from radio right now, so i think this song is very likely to become #1...

Ive heard it a couple times on KIIS, i love it! But i think they are pushing it out a little to soon, i mean Single Ladies is still on the rise. They should 've waited till late February. Anyways im dissapointed with the video, it had potential to be a great video, but they screwed it up. I still think this song is great and has #1 potential!

Yeah they are pushing it out a little too soon. Although, the adds date isn't till the 20th so stations are just eager to play it and by then SL will have most likely peaked/be close to peaking.

I like this but I dont think it deserves the kind of success that 'Irreplaceable' had. Irreplaceable was seriously amazing, like it had a bunch of catch phrases that made the song so much more.. poignant. I don't know. like 'to the left to the left' and 'you must not know 'bout me'. Irreplaceable is more hit worthy than this, this is very good but also very 'Bleeding Love', which was pretty much the intention of hit-hungry Beyonce.

I absolutely adore this, most probably cos it's very Leona. And with Leona releasing a guitar-driven ballad next instead of her usual urban-ballad, I think there will be a gap in the radio playlists which 'BL' & 'BIT' have been filling this last year. Therefore I believe 'Halo' will be a huge monster of a hit; and will mimic the success that Leona's two hits enjoyed.

Diva & Halo are going to be huge because they both are very very good songs. As for the Halo video is fascinating i love the intimacy and the epic feel.

Halo is a great song but has an 'ok' video...but I still think it wil l reach #1 once 'officially' released. Beyonce is really slaying people this era.

This could def be huge.. But I think a Majority of the people who like this song.. already own it.. So how could it hit #1 if say 50 to 75% of people already own it?

This is the only song from Beyonce I have heard so far this era worthy of the top spot on chr. Single Ladies did grow on me, but it still does not feel like a #1. I can't wait to see Halo smash up the charts!

Anyone know if Beyonce's ever had a successful ballad? Even though Halo has a super heavy bass...

DIL was a respectable-sized R&B hit, but on CHR the farthest a "ballad" has gone, if we aren't counting Irreplaceable', is #18 with 'Me, Myself, and I'.Duh. IIWAB went Top 10.

If this followed SL as the ONLY 2nd single it could be huge in the US. But I'm not sure now cause it seems like the Sasha singles gain much more airplay and almost immediately crossover.

Since Diva is exploding right now, it should die by mid-end Feb so that Halo will get its chance to shine alone (hopefully).
