Biggest fail & hypocitical state ever. Miley has only almost caught up to Hilary's sales because of Hannah. Have you seen the sales of her real debut? Pathetic. I don't really care about either of them, but how are Miley's debut sales pathetic? As of two weeks ago: 79 CYRUS*MILEY BREAKOUT 6,781 5,866 16 1,348,680 Edit, just found this: 107 CYRUS*MILEY BREAKOUT 6,145 6,168 0 1,360,993 The last Hannah soundtrack has sold over 3.3 mil in the states only.

well her HANNAH song did way better than anything face it HILARY IS NOT AN ARTIST!!!!!!! She has no voice, no acting skills, and no personality, and the only reason she hit big was because of her show and because some thought she was atractive

Well, See You Again was bigger than anything released by Hilary, that's true. Maybe even "7 Things" was more succesfull, but that doesn't make Miley better than Hilary. Only "Methamorphosis" & "Most Wanted" got real promotion, so she flopped with everything else because of her label. And wow at this song actually getting more than 10 spins i liked "See You Again", "7 Things" and "Fly On The Wall", but this one sucks

Only "Methamorphosis" & "Most Wanted" got real promotion, so she flopped with everything else because of her label. "So Yesterday" & "Come Clean" both peaked higher on radio than "7 Things." Keep in mind that this is when Disney was first REALLY pushing music towards mainstream. People weren't going to take Hilary seriously, period. Hilary's was sort of the guinea pig, to everyone that's signed with that label now. Besides Mr. Nintendo Spaceman, you're forgetting one thing. Hilary got relatively good reviews for "Dignity." People were willing to give her a chance, but just because her album started off slower than her previous ones, her label ended all promotion & singles in July. This wasn't even the first time that Hollywood Records had screwed her over. The fact of the matter is that HILARY is the face of the product. If promotion has ended, & it seems like she's moving on, her label isn't the one sought out to blame. Hilary is. That's why radio & other outlets are hesitant to play her. But anyway, back on topic. I'm glad payola is working good for Miley now, we'll just have to see how well she does in the future.

I agree lets drop it
I'm surprised this song is doing well, it seems like an american idol winning song, but it is nice.

This is a great song but Miley really murdered it with her terrible vocals. Auto-tune could really come into good use eh.

Honestly I think Miley gets a really bad rap. The fact that she began her career as a Disney artist and she appeals largely to the tween crowd turn off a lot of people (I was one of those people once, lol). I remember when the whole Hanna Montanna thing really exploded and I was always like "Good lord, whose supporting these childish acts!?" "Music in its worst form, if you could even call it music!" It wasn't until I actually succumbed to my curiosity and was listening through her first non-Montanna album Breakout that I realized she actually had really good songs tucked away. These Four Walls, Goodbye, Full Circle and yes, even 7 Things were some of my favorite songs last year. I would never have thought she would have been capable of quality material but I was glad to be proved wrong. I guess it goes back to the old saying "never judge a book by its cover". Now she has this song out which I love. I never thought I would find myself saying this but I will definitely be checking out the next Miley Cyrus album, hell you might even consider me a "light" fan.

I wasn't asking how much the last HM soundtrack sold. I was asking what was "pathetic" about almost 1.4 million albums sold in one country in less than a year with declining album sales. Anyways, I just heard this, and it's pretty good actually. I think she sounds fine.

I don't hate Miley either, and See You Again was one of my favorite songs of '08....but I think this song is trash and I think it's suspicious that it's magically ~flying up the charts~ when it's not very radio-friendly and CHR has never taken much of a liking to her in the past.

She does get a bad rap. Sure, she's not a great singer, but at least she writes her own s**t. And, sure she's annoying, but what 16 year old girl isn't? And hate her or love her, you gotta admit that the girl's got charisma. Seriously- I don't even like her. I just think people should give her a break.

Most of the comments I've witnessed are just people saying "radio needs to stop playing/adding this" because they don't personally care for the song. The whole payola theory would be a much more interesting discussion.

^ What discussion? This song is pure cheese. It has disney theme song writeen all over it.
You know, I used the think Jordin Sparks was the poster child for the term "payola."
But whadaya know? Miley just might take her place with this song's meteoric rise. :)

This song is terrible. I liked her three previous singles, but this is just annoying. However, the first 30 seconds of this track is great, but after that, it's just trash.

I surprisingly like this song, but I could see why some don't. The video is terrible, but she looks good. It's sad when her best video was for "Fly On The Wall" and it was a total "Rumors" rip off.

Maybe this song is doing so well because radio stations know it's the Hannah Montana movie single and since HM is HUGE that's the reason why they are playing, and not payola.
Anyways, I;m not a fan I really wish FOTW did better :(

LOL at people arguing about who's the better singer, miley or hillary duff haha ... who cares! They are not even singers in the first place IMO. They are 2 cute wholesome white girls who got caught up on the HUGE Disney marketing machine. Once those little kids/young fan base grow up and outgrowing miley/duff etc, so are their careers. Thats why I mentioned Miley needs to act quick and establish herself as a top 40/pop princess act. She's still 'HOT'/it-girl now. She needs that 1 HUGE pop smash to gain new fans, strictly from her music (not Hannah Montana fans). So Yesterday and Come Clean obviously didnt do the job for Duff. Anyway I dont really care if Miley or Hillary would have longevity on mainstream music, it's not like we're losing a Lauryn Hill
