His projected sales are 110-120K. Those are great sales for Cudi! Hopefully, his sales stays consistent. A certified Gold album would be great for him. I'm hoping for Platinum! It's a great album. It has grown on me so much. His reviews are GREAT!

I'm OBSESSED with Pursuit of Happiness. I am the same way, deleted, I have played it over and over again. The whole album is good but I keep coming back to that song. Genius.

Pretty cool that he put the lyrics in the booklet. That's a rarity in hip-hop.

Great album. "Pursuit Of Happiness" is indeed hot. It had to grow on me after three listens. Of course I like all the singles. My favorite tracks are "Sky Might Fall", "Alive", "Enter Galactic", and "My World". It's different in this day and age.

Apparently, Scotty never saw the "This is your brain on drugs" commercial as a child. Some of the songs are so bizarre. I was literally when I listened to Enter Galactic. He needs rehab. Seriously though, this is the definition of a grower. There are times when I wish it was an instrumental album though. The Kid got some killer production.

I listened to the album in entirety this morning and it seems to be more spoken word/thinking out loud than hip-hop to me. Not bad but not something I'd regularly bump. I'd have to be in a real downtempo mood to appreciate it. Awesome production though.

Yeah, that's the same thing I thought. The production steals the show, clearly. Songs that I didn't care about grow on me. Enter Galactic is even growing on me, LOL but it's still a hot drugged out mess. I kinda like this dude tho.

WEAKEND TOP 13 (OR SO) PREVIEW: A number of newcomers will penetrate the top of the HITS Album Sales chart next Tuesday but, after all is said and done, Jay-Z will continue to be on top, with Whitney Houston feeling the Oprah Effect at #2. Top 10 bows for Reprise's Muse, Universal Motown's Kid Cudi, Cash Money/ Universal Motown's Drake and Asylum's Lil Boosie will fill in the gaps between old standbys The Beatles and Michael Jackson. Here's a peak at the leader board as we head into the weakend: 1. Jay-Z (Roc Nation) 240-260k 2. Very good numbers. This and The Resistance are 2 of my favorite albums of the year (as well as TB3) so this week has been awesome!
So far, IMO...
1 Day N Night (Nightmare) 2 My World 3 Sky Might Fall 4 Pursuit of Happiness (Nightmare) 5 Up, Up & Away 6 Soundtrack 2 My Life 7 Alive (Nightmare) 8 Heart of a Lion (Kid Cudi Theme Music) 9 Make her Say 10 Cudi Zone 11 Simple As... 12 Enter Galactic (Love Connecton Pt. 1) 13 In my Dreams (Cudder Anthem) 14 Solo Dolo (Nightmare) 15 Hyyerr
none of the bonus tracks are doing too much for me yet

Does anybody like the INTRO except me? I thought the intro was cool. Just finished listening through to the regular edition. Very solid album. I'd only listened to "Day 'n' Nite" and "Make Her Say" beforehand, so, after the first few tracks, I was starting to expect that, at some point, the album would have a bad transition or lack thereof, because I couldn't see how it could smoothly go from where it started to something like "Make Her Say." Happily, I was dead wrong. Everything fits together nicely as a unit. Excellent. The songs that really stood out for me that I hadn't heard before: "My World," "Pursuit of Happiness," "Up Up & Away," and "Simple As..." probably in that order. There's no track on here I dislike. I do think, taken as an individual track, "Solo Dolo" drags a bit, but it fits so perfectly at its place on the album that I can't even complain.

I agree - no filler!
The only thing I'd take out is Common's narration. It's annoying, IMO.

808's without the pretense of anguish and actual concordance from each track to the next. His hyped dwindled greatly with nearly everyone hopping the Drizzy train since Cudi last gave us anything worthwhile ("Day 'N' Nite") but what other way to have others chattering about than to deliver the goods? The only thing I'd take out is Common's narration. It's annoying, IMO. YES. The album's only prominent drawback.

Solo Dolo is the only track I felt inclined to skip when I listened to the album.

Solo Dolo is not my favorite (it is pretty damn boring) but damn, the album gets so much better on each listen. From "Alive" on, the album is PERFECT and "Simple As..." is so catchy.

I kind of like the narrative parts as of right now, but I've only played the album so much, so perhaps they still have a certain novelty to them. I can understand where they might wear thin. I would probably edit them out if I were, say, putting a track on a mix CD or something, because out of context they don't really make any sense.
