Robbie Williams writes songs with Mark Ronson and Guy ChambersSinger's manager also confirms star wants 'unconventional record deal' Robbie Williams has started work on his new album, the singer's co-manager has confirmed. Tim Clark says Williams will head into the studio in March or April to record songs for the follow-up to 2006's 'Rudebox'. Clark revealed that Williams may team up with 'Angels' and 'Let Me Entertain You' co-writer Guy Chambers for the sessions, along with Mark Ronson and Madchester duo Soul Mekanik, who were formerly in Candy Flip. "There may be a song with Guy [Chambers], he's done a lot of writing with Soul Mekanik and there's a very interesting song with Mark Ronson," Clark told Music Week. "He's now looking for producers. Nothing further has been said yet, but he's talking to a lot of interesting people." The album could be Williams' final release for label EMI. His £80 million contract with the label (the UK's biggest deal to date) is due to conclude after Williams' next album has been released, and his co-manager David Enthoven says the star will be looking for less traditional ways of distributing his music in future. "The elephant needs to leave the room, the elephant being the record company," said Enthoven. Clark added that it "makes no sense" for Williams to sign a conventional deal. "The old-fashioned record deal is not something that Robbie Williams would consider," he declared. www.nme.com/news/robbie-williams/42335

Here's hoping he doesn't do another video that's an homage to sneaker commercials

Robbie Williams and Take That hit the studioCould much-touted reunion be on the cards? Robbie Williams and Take That have been working on new material in the same west London studio. Williams has been getting on "brilliantly well' with Gary Barlow at Trevor Horn's Sarm West studio, the Frankie Goes To Hollywood producer told BBC News. "They're all in the building. Gary is in one of the rooms and Robbie's there, so they bump into each other and they get on brilliantly well," he said. Horn is producing Williams' follow-up to his 2006 album 'Rudebox' at the same time the Manchester boyband are working on new material. Earlier this week Williams told the Daily Mirror that a reunion was "looking more likely by the week". His spokesman denied that a reunion is on the cards, however. Take That, meanwhile, are gearing up for summer UK tour which includes four dates at London's Wembley Stadium (July 1,3,4,5). www.nme.com/news/nme/43751-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The NME has become exactly like a tabloid.

I read about this supposed reunion a few days back on another site. It could be a good thing I guess.

After listening to his catalogue quite a bit lately, I have come to the conclusion that his albums don't do much for me. However, I can't wait to cherry pick the songs I like on his next one... ;)

Hot album cover! I never used to listen to RW. The only albums I really listened to were Swing When You're Winning & Greatest Hits.

US release date is 11/17. Oh, and unfortunately, this still stands: I like the single, but I feel it's lacking something.

US release date is 11/17. Trying the USA again, eh? Well, as long as they don't screw with the track list, I'd be happy to save a little cash on a domestic version. I have to agree about "Bodies." I like it, but it's not amazing. I hold out hope for the rest of the album. Maybe I'll like it better in context.

The CD will feature the following audio tracks: • Let Me Entertain You – Live from Knebworth • Feel – Live from Knebworth • Come Undone • Viva Life on Mars • The Trouble with Me • Man Machine • Me and My Monkey • No Regrets – Live from Slane Castle, Ireland • Phoenix from the Flames • Nan’s Song • Rock DJ – Live from Mungersdorfer Stadion, Koln • Angels – Live from The Forum, London completemyartist™ is a revolutionary new application that helps music lovers by suggesting tracks by their favourite artists that they might like to buy. It provides automatic suggestions based on your personal music collection and in this instance gives it a Robbie Williams twist by suggesting a series of playlists based around Robbie’s music and personality. It is able to identify music already in a user’s collection and make recommendations of related tracks they don’t already have but that may be of interest to them. Give it a go this weekend and see what gems it suggests especially for you!

UK fans are not happy that "Bodies" is censored. There is a "beep" in the middle of the song. For some reason the record label didn't make an un-censored version for purchase.
