Billboard review:
Day 'N' Nite KID CUDI Producer(s): Dot Da Genius, Kid Cudi Genre: POP Label/Catalog Number: Fool's Gold/G.O.O.D.
Kanye West's newly signed G.O.O.D. Music artist Kid Cudi (born Scott Mescudi) is electrifying dancefloors with the inescapable "Day 'N' Nite," which aired on HBO in the fall, scoring the "Entourage" seal of approval. Prior to the G.O.O.D. signing, Fool's Gold licensed the remix by Italian DJ duo the Crookers to Ministry of Sound/Data Records in Europe, peaking at No. 2 on the combined U.K. singles sales chart. "Day 'N' Nite" is a particularly special track because of its broad appeal among dance music DJs as well as pop and urban radio. Now based in Brooklyn, the Cleveland rapper is finalizing material for his summer album, "Man on the Moon: The Guardians." In the meantime, "Day 'N' Nite" is headed to break the top 10 and the Kid Cudi Vs. Crookers version has the kind of electro ammo that made Flo Rida's "Right Round," Lady GaGa's "Just Dance" and Rihanna's "Disturbia" all No. 1s. —Michael Menachem

His first hit, and maybe the last? I read that he's leaving the music business.

I think it was taken off iTunes for a bit yesterday, because it just disappeared in one update. What's with all the glitches on iTunes the past few days?

I finally listened to this yesterday. First, I listened to the original and was appalled that it was so successful. Then I heard the Crooker's remix and understood the success. Remix > Original.

I think it's funny that people say that. Both the original and the remix have the exact same lyrics. Just because it's been remixed to fit the Dance sound that Pop radio has been loving for the past year makes it better?

Because there's ENERGY in it. The original's production is SOOOOOO snooze worthy.

Ooh, nice to know it's doing something; definitely prefer the Crookers Reix to the original, but the original has an interestin sound - don't mind it at all. :)

The original is absolutely lifeless to me and just drones on and on. The remix is much more enjoyable for me.

I still haven't heard this song in any shape or form, LOL. Sometimes I am incredibly slow with songs though. That's how it was with Just Dance by Lady G.

its really repetitive and he sings in monotone...meh That's what I thought when I first heard it. It doesn't bother me much. I think the original version and the monotone fits in with the "stoner" theme. Just slow and drags on.

^I hope this isn't peaking already. :( I do. One of the most annoying songs so far this year. I especially hate the "Uhh-uhh" part (though I'm thankful it's not heard all the way through the song)

This song is hot for like 2 seconds. Then his monotonous voice gets annoying.
