Just cause your diva didn't win, it doesn't mean the Grammys show was weak... I agree.....people should be more open minded to music. Not everyone is going to love your favs. Either way, I'm glad that Adele, Sugarland and Kings of Leon won. Jason Mraz should have won, John Mayer's song is just too repetitive that it gets annoying. Sad that Disturbed didn't win. Also, Adele's expression when she mentioned the Jonas Bros. was priceles.

That's kind of weird that their ratings went up. I guess maybe Miley, Taylor and the JoBros really did help...
That stinks to admit that artists like them can pull in a crowd. :(

Great... Now that the ratings went up, I expect more Miley and Jonas Brothers like guests next year.

Ratings went up even WITHOUT the "usual crowd" that is considered necessary to get ratings. Seems like some new stars are being born. I would say the Grammys found the necessary balance between "real" musicians/old farts and the younger top 40/teenager crowd.

Speaking of trolls, are you a troll? Because that last statement cannot be a serious one. Honey I ain't no troll, I'm a Disney fan! I GOTTA SUPPORT MY IDOLS!
Stevie Wonder is a fad and needs to crawl back in his hole. Stevie Wonder is a FAD???? Stevie Wonder has been recognized as a musical genius since at least 1963 when at only 12 years old, he scored his first #1 hit "Fingertips part 2." He's had a few more hits since then and is widely regarded as one of the most creative and innovative artists ever in popular music. Now the Jonas brothers, THEY are a fad. Do some of you people even think before you post such stupid things?

why people can't understand yet .....the Grammys awards the talent not the most popular artists....

I hate people like that! Just cause your diva didn't win, it doesn't mean the Grammys show was weak... Shut your mouth. I don't have favorites -- I really didn't care about anyone nominated at all. I was watching for content and quality, and I thought both were mediocre.

You're not the only one I was happy that they won. Plant/Krauss, Radiohead and Lil Wayne would've all been deserving winners in my book. I also don't mind their ROTY win since all the nominees were great and I really couldn't choice between them.

The Krauss/Plant album was a very good album.
Those who haven't already done so, should listen to it

Krauss is a goddess to me so I will never be actively unhappy with her winning.

I would never, ever want to go up against Alison Krause in any category at the Grammy's. She's THE biggest Grammy darling, for some strange reason.
If I was nominated against her I would say "Alison, can I hold your Grammy after you win it, please?*"
*Note: cannot take direct credit for that. That was a friend of mine, but it was freakin' hilarious

The Krauss/Plant album was a very good album. Those who haven't already done so, should listen to it I heard half of it, then gave up, its one of the dullest albums in existence.

I also liked the Plant/Krause album. While it isn't my style it is a very good album. It had great reviews and good sales so I am not upset that it won. I was kinda ticked that they won record though(I wanted MIA to win).
Highlights for me were Sugarlands performance and win(s). JHud, Swagga like Us, Adelle, and I thought the Joe Broes didn't do too bad either. I would have loved to see one amazing performance by Leona, Pink, Alicia or Beyonce but it was still a decent show.
I'm a huge John Mayer fan and think he's brilliant but I kinda wanted Mraz to win :( I was also upset that Leona didn't win any but I guess they choice artistry over amazing voice.

Yeah I guess that's true. Both Adelle and Duffy have great voices too! But Leona isn't known for artistry and what not.. :)

Every year the slick production fascists trash the live peformances because they arent music fans at all. They want to be hypnotized into brainmush by the constant repitition of mind numbing 'a computer built this' beats, It's comformism that they demand, and that is impossible live. More to the point, it's the enemy of live. Live means anything can happen. Live is exciting. Live cant be autotuned. It cant be sliced into a thousand digital pieces and reconstructed into perfect note placement in a perfectly executed scale by a software program.

I hate to admit it but I agree . As for the Grammys nothing has changed really still bunch of old farts patting each other's backs, same old. I managed to get through the entire Plant/Krauss CD and wonder how they won 5 awards !?. Only at the Grammys.
